No full textThis image depicts the interior of the 1926 Jennings Arcade at 417 12th St W in downtown Bradenton. Perrine Plaza was located approximately where Jennings Arcade is today on Bradenton's Main Street, north of Manatee Avenue West. Originally built by F.M. and C.W. Jennings, the upper level contained offices and stores. The interior is an example of a Mediterranean Revival Arcade complete with original light fixtures suspended by wrought iron chains and wrought iron grill work in the center of the building

In this image, you can see that there is still large plots of undeveloped land created by a dredging project in the 1960s known as the Sandpile. No full textPictured is Fleta Carlton (1923-2006), who was a third-generation cattle rancher who lived and worked on her 1,400 acre ranch in Myakka. She served in the Navy during World War II, and was stationed in Hawaii. Her family later sold the land to Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast in 2016, now called the Triangle Ranch, and planned to use the land for a conservation easement
