The Masque Players Drama Club was organized in 1965-1966 in which they performed Blithe Spirit by Noel Coward at the Northville State Hospital Theater with no budgeted funds. The Theater Department offered college credits in 1967-1968 as an introductory to play production through Drama Workshops and moved their showing to the Lower Level of the Waterman Campus Center until the Liberal Arts Theater was built in 1968-1969. The American Educational Theater Association (AETA) approved of course level offerings for Theater production at the community college level. As a result theater courses were eventually offered in the college catalog with budgeted funds provided by the Student Senate @ 1970's
