No full textThis collection comprises geophysics data, GIS files, and a report from a magnetometry survey carried out by MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) Northampton in October 2024. The survey covered circa 12.5 hectares of grass fields off Ladbroke Road, immediately north-east of Bishop's Itchington, Warwickshire and was commissioned by RPS Consulting. The survey identified possible evidence for a ditch of uncertain date and a quarry

No full textThis collection comprises reports, images, site records, and CAD files from an archaeological excavation. This was carried out on land north of 63 Rectory Road, Stisted, Essex, CM77 8AL in advance of the construction of a residential development by Colchester Archaeological Trust in May 2021. Open area excavation of the northernmost residential plot uncovered a small number of Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age pits, pits/ditches and postholes/stakeholes. Archaeological monitoring on the access road uncovered the continuation of a ditch identified in the evaluation

No full textThis collection consists of site images, reports, and a CAD vector drawing from geotechnical monitoring at Thoby Priory, Mountnessing, Essex. Works were carried out by Archaeology South-East in May 2017, in advance of the construction of housing. The geotechnical pits did not reveal any archaeological features or deposits. However, significant thicknesses of modern overburden deposits overlying natural deposits and areas of disturbance are demonstrated in the majority of the test pits monitored

The archaeological field evaluation produced no archaeological evidence, with the exception of limited evidence for medieval cultivation in the form of three possible plough furrows observed in two trenches

No full textThis collection comprises geophysics data and GIS files from a magnetometry survey carried out by MOLA Northampton at Westwood Heath, Warwickshire on 13th September 2024. The aim of the survey was to identify and map any archaeological remains which may be affected by future development works on the site. TThe survey identified a few possible ditches, unusually showing as negative anomalies. An area of medieval to post-medieval ridge and furrow was also detected, as well as two relatively modern field boundaries, an artificial cricket pitch, the remains of 1960s building and associated track and a buried utility

No full textThis collection comprises images and a report from a Level 2 Descriptive Historic Building Recording at Jules House, Cold Overton Road, Leicestershire. The work was carried out by York Archaeology in March 2025. The work was undertaken in advance of proposed development of the site, as part of a planning condition made by Rutland County Council for the proposed refurbishment of Jules House and construction of extension to provide a new transport hub and community facility (planning application ref. 2024/0468/RG3). Jules House originated from at least the late 19th century as two adjacent residential properties, which may have replaced or partially integrated structural elements of earlier buildings. The east range comprises a larger, more elegant house, whereas the west range is a small dwelling. In the mid-to late 20th century these properties were merged internally, acting as a care centre, later as offices, and most recently used by Rutland County Council as the Pinewood Hostel Community Centre. The historic building recording has provided an account of the developmental history and purpose of Jules House. The recording was undertaken to an appropriate level, as recommended by the Local Planning Authority as part of the planning condition
