No full textThis collection consists of sites images, GIS data, and spreadsheet data from a programme of archaeological works, comprising excavation and evaluation, at land off St George's Road, Semington, Wiltshire. The works were carried out by Cotswold Archaeology in October 2023. A pit containing possible Bronze Age flint and pottery of Middle Iron Age date was identified within the eastern part of the site, likely relating to Iron Age settlement activity previously identified to the north and within the wider vicinity of the site. Evidence of medieval/post-medieval ridge and furrow cultivation was recorded throughout the site

No full textThis collection consists of site images and records, a report, GIS data, and databases and spreadsheets from an archaeological excavation at land north of Sandpit Pond Farm, Longstanton Road, Over, Cambridgeshire. The works were conducted by Oxford Archaeology East between late July 2020 and early October 2020, targeting medieval remains revealed by previous trial trenching. Although archaeological features spanning the late prehistoric to modern periods were present across the area, medieval activity appears to have been concentrated at the northern end of the site, close to the course of Whines Lane

No full textThis collection consists of images and GIS data from a historic building recording and watching brief by Cotswold Archaeology. Work occurred at Collaton Park, Newton Ferrers, Devon, in 2022 and 2024.Thie rapid photographic and written historic buildings record was carried out in September 2022. RAF Collaton Park began as Number 13 Balloon Centre in 1939. RAF occupancy of the site ended c. 1975, by which time all buildings associated with military functions had been cleared. There are no designated heritage assets within the site. The archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted in April to June 2024. The project recorded widespread modern truncation at the site. Localised clusters of fragmentary concrete foundations associated with former RAF Collaton Cross buildings were recorded

No full textThis collection comprises raw and minimally processed magnetometry data, greyscale images of processed magnetometry data and a CAD drawing from a geophysical survey at land off Snowswick Lane, Coleshill, Oxfordshire. Work was carried out by Archaeological Surveys Ltd July and August 2024. An additional geophysical survey was carried out over 22ha by Archaeological Surveys Ltd ahead of a potential solar farm development near Coleshill in Oxfordshire. A previous geophysical survey had located evidence for late prehistoric and Romano-British settlement and the scheme was amended to include two additional fields to the south west and two to the north east

No full textThis collection consists of images from a level 2 historic building survey at The Elms Farm, 6 Church Street, Crick, Northamptonshire. The work was undertaken by University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) in May 2022, in advance of proposals to demolish the existing barn and construct a new dwelling. The site consists of a brick-built farmhouse of 19th century date and a range of stone-built stables and barns extending to the north-east of the farmhouse. The affected barn is also of 19th century date but incorporates earlier re-used timbers
