Appliquer l'approche constructionnelle à la phraséologie pragmatique : le cas des expressions de raillerie sur les réseaux sociaux

    No full text

On the Corresponding Expressions of Japanese Compound Verbs in Altai-type Languages

    No full text
This paper explores the expressive forms in Korean, Mongolian, and Uzbek languages that functionally correspond to the second element of Japanese compound verbs through elicitations with native speakers. The results revealed that Mongolian and Uzbek use a variety of auxiliary verbs in their corresponding expressions, whereas Korean makes extensive use of adverbs and other expressions preceding verbs. Although this point has already been pointed out partially in some previous studies, I believe that it is significant to conduct an empirical and quantitative analysis by comparing Korean with Altaic languages. The characteristics of Korean in contrast to Japanese and other Altaic languages were considered by previous studies to be differences in the degree of synthesis, but this paper analyzes them as differences in whether the elements of grammatical categories are prepositioned or postpositioned on the verb
