Reorganization of modification phenomena in Japanese
修飾は日本語の文成分の中で重要な機能であり,従来の研究ではその中身の形態や意味から様々な検討が行われた。本稿では,修飾を中心に,先行研究に基づき,連体修飾と連用修飾を分けており,それぞれの形態,意味,機能についてもう一度整理を行った。一般言語学の観点から,連体修飾は形容詞で,連用修飾は副詞であると認識されている。本稿では,これを大前提とし,連体修飾成分を「形容詞類」とし,連用修飾成分を「副詞類」として記述を行った。その結果,形態上から連体修飾に属さなくても,意味的には修飾にあたることがある。これにより,連体修飾の形態と意味・機能がずれているところがある。また,ある語句は連体修飾か,連用修飾か,場合によって変わることがあり,連続性を持っていることがわかった
Size control of InP nanowires by in situ annealing and its application to the formation of InAsP quantum dots
We carried out in situ annealing of InP nanowires (NWs) in a metal-organic vapor phase epitaxial (MOVPE) growth reactor to control and reduce the tip size of InP NWs. InP NWs were grown by selective-area (SA) MOVPE on partially masked (111)A InP substrates, and annealing was successively applied in tertiarybutylphosphine (TBP) ambient. Initially, the InP NWs had a hexagonal cross-section with {112} facets vertical to the substrates; they became tapered, and the edges were rounded by annealing. By appropriately selecting the annealing temperature and initial NW diameter, the tip size of the NW was reduced and NWs with a tip size of 20 nm were successfully formed. Subsequently, a thin InAsP layer was grown on the annealed NWs and their photoluminescence was investigated at low temperatures. The characterization results indicated the formation of InAsP quantum dots (QDs) emitting in the telecom band. Our approach is useful for reducing the size of the NWs and for the controlled formation of InAsP QDs embedded in InP NWs in photonic devices compatible with telecom bands
The breathing mode of the Hoyle state in 12C
Excited states of the Hoyle state in 12C are discussed by taking into account the correct boundary condition for three- resonant states with the complex scaling method. The Coulomb interaction is considered to play an important role for stability of a breathing 3α motion. It is expected that such a breathing mode exists in other nα systems as well. The development of a new method for solving nα systems in the complex scaling method is reported
Structural Color Materials with Color Mixing Effect Using Noble Metal-Free Plasmonic Particles in SiO2-ZrN System
Structurally colored materials with a color mixing effect are developed using SiO2-ZrN core-shell particles, where ZrN nanoparticles used as shells exhibited localized surface plasmon resonances (LSPRs). ZrN nanoparticles (10-30 nm) are attached to monodispersed SiO2 particles by modifying SiO2 particles with polymers. The attached ZrN nanoparticles exhibited a plasmon resonance absorption band at 700 nm. These SiO2-ZrN core-shell particles have a highly monodisperse particle size and assemble into a particle-stacked film with Bragg diffraction light in the visible spectrum. The particle-stacked film of the SiO2-ZrN core-shell particles exhibited the maximum reflection depending on the particle size of the SiO2 core. The ratio of the reflection intensity in the long-wavelength region corresponding to the ZrN absorption to that in the short-wavelength region of the particle-stacked film containing the ZrN shell is less than that of the ratio in only SiO2 particle-stacked film. The results reveal that these particle-stacked films exhibit a "color mixing effect" that combines specific wavelength absorption through plasmon resonance and specific wavelength diffraction owing to the periodic structure without using precious metals
