This specimen was observed in its burrow which, according to the literature extend to 10cm depth.
These burrows were common at the Asterix site with a density of 0.2m-2.

Rhinochimaera Harriotta raleighana (narrownose chimaera) from Gulf of Mexico
DJ thought it was Rhinochimaera atlantica (longnosed ratfish) based on distribution.
KS says quick ID is Harriotta raleighana. Several details, including the upturned snout - and a too-short snout - agree with this species - instead of Rhinochimaera
