enclosed in a brim bordering the hind edge of the body. Velum broad, forwardly directed, forming the anterior
continuation of the dorsal surface; the four papillae
composing the velum project only slightly from the anterior edge

fabricii, known from 200 - 1,600 m, including off W. Africa. Color, robustness, caudal fin, size and placement of dorsal fins are all right - need a better image to
see spines on leading edges of dorsal fins
