A journey that leads him to ask himself why, one hundred and fifty years after his death, this French author is still translated and studied in Italy and around the world. The French poet and narrator, from the first translation, by Margherita Sarfatti in 1919, to the last one in 2023 by Luigi Azzariti-Fumaroli, has never stopped being translated by his transalpine cousins, accumulating, as Velez reports, about thirty titles (including reprints) catalogued between the national libraries of Rome and Florence

Sanlaville. Outre la difficulté de reproduire le rythme et le suspense propres au genre, ces oeuvres, qui font partie de la série Sanantonio, présentent des particularités linguistiques difficiles à reproduire, des argotismes aux formes néologiques. Dans une autre contribution Velez se penche sur la traduction du français à l’italien d’Astérix en Corse. Après avoir tracé les difficultés
traductives inhérentes au genre de la BD, il s’intéresse plus particulièrement au rendu des noms propres, qui présentent des jeux de mots et des références culturelles qui compliquent l’acte traductif
