Academic Flow and Cyberloafing
Academic flow is a motivational process that is important for students in the learning process. Academic flow
causes students to concentrate, enjoy, and intrinsic motivation in the learning process. Conversely, students with
low academic flow will experience cyberloafing. Limitations of research relationship between academic flow and
cyberloafing in academic context so far became the basis of this research. Research subjects were 314 students
through incidental sampling. Result showed a negative significant correlation between academic flow and
cyberloafing (r = -0.312, p = 0.001). There is a negative correlation between cyberloafing and absorption (r =
-0.220, p = 0.011), enjoyment (r = -0.232, p = 0.024), and intrinsic motivation (r = -0.265, p = 0.003). This means
that the higher students academic flow score is, the lower the cyberloafing score will be on students, such as chat,
games, music, and videos that are not related to the learning process. It is necessary to manage the learning process
in achieving flow conditions, especially regarding the expectancy and value as personal resources. The results are
discussed further
Asesmen Dinamika Gangguan: Studi Tentang Nyctophobia
This study was inspired by two reasons. Firstly after observing someone who suffers nyctophobia and needs therapy, and secondly after literature search, the author did not find an explisit empirical research on the dynamics of nyctophobia. The aim of this study was to conduct a research which could understand and describe the dynamics of nyctophobia. This research adopted a qualitative approach with a participatory paradigm. The main method of the data collection was an interview, supported with the observation data, pre-data questionnaire, the big five personality, as well as the symptom scale and the control. The research informan were three nyctophobia sufferers. The dynamics of the disorder are discussed.
Disiskusikan dinamika gangguan nyctophobia
Disaster Education Based on Psychological First-Aid for Students: Increasing Capacity Dealing
Indonesia has a high potential for disaster based on geographical location, one of which is Sajen village located at
Mojokerto Regency in East Java. Sajen village has high-hazard suffered disasters, such as landslides, flash floods,
and high winds. Disasters that have occurred cause the impact of casualties, damage to settlements, the source of
life of the population, psychological problems, and social (high-risk). The tough (tangguh) village disaster program
based on psychological first-aid applied to 100 students to improve disaster capacity through disaster education as
an effort to reduce risk. So far, no disaster education program has been implemented based on psychological
first-aid for students. This paper will describe the action research implementation of disaster education for students
covering physical health training that is knowledge of potential disaster, self-preservation, and survival from
disaster. Psychological health is the ability of psychological recovery during or after disasters. Behavioral health
ability can empower themselves and communities economically, socially, and culturally, or other areas of life and
healthy behavior during and after the disaster. Outcomes of disaster education programs include increased
knowledge and psychological first-aid capabilities, handbooks of disaster education based on psychological first-aid,
psychological first-aid, and sustainable disaster education programs. The results of the implementation of disaster
education related to physical health, psychological health, and behavioral health are discussed further
A Bibliometric Analysis of Positive Mental Health Research and Development in the Social Science Citation Index
Background: This study aimed to conduct a bibliometric analysis of positive mental health, focusing on citation performance,
article title, abstract, author keywords, Keyword Plus, and their development trends. The novelty of this study is a pioneer
within the field of positive mental health. Therefore, it delivered new ideas for researchers and practitioners who had concerns
about positive mental health in terms of trends research which covered recommended articles and the research focus in recent
years. Methods: The data were retrieved on 30 April 2024 from the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) of Clarivate
Analytics’ Web of Science Core Collection for studies published between 1992 and 2023. Results: The distribution of keywords
in the article title and keywords chosen by the authors were used to assess research trends. 1391 documents in SSCI were
found during the search; 1221 of these were document-type “articles.” 524 journals published these publications. The most
frequently used keywords by the writers, according to the articles’ analysis, are “depression,” “resilience,” “COVID-19,”
“anxiety,” and “social support.” Kristin D. Neff wrote the most frequently cited paper in 2003. Most articles came from Europe
(five countries), America (two countries), Asia (two countries), and Oceania (one country), and were published in English. The
majority of the research in the field of positive mental health is conducted in Europe and America, two regions where English
is the primary language. The main research topics in positive mental health were related to adolescents, children, and college
students. Conclusion: Trends research through bibliometric analysis by using data from Web of Science Core Collection
should be followed by manual inspection to avoid errors. Therefore, scientists need more careful data examination in
bibliometric analysis
