    No full text
The contribution reconstructs, through the use of chronicles and reviews that appeared in the main newspapers of the time, the contrasting outcome of the two performances of Sei personaggi in cerca d’autore by Luigi Pirandello, staged at the Politeama Margherita in Genoa on Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 December 1921, a few weeks after the triumph of public and critics in Milan

Nove lettere di Giovanni Boine a Giuseppe Prezzolini

The nine letters, published here for the first time, were left out of the edition of Giovanni Boine’s Carteggio published in the 1970s, as they only re-emerged from the archives after the publication of the first of the four volumes that compose it. Irregularly distributed between 1910 and 1914, the missives help shed light on the writer’s assiduous work with «La Voce», at times clarifying already partly documented circumstances, at others illuminating wholly unknown episodes

Sciascia ultimo (e postumo): "Fuoco all’anima"

    No full text
This essay – presented at the XI Leonardo Sciascia Colloquium «Sciascia primo, ultimo e postumo» which took place online on the 19th and 20th of November 2020 – reconstructs the genesis of a project to create a collection of dialogues, conceptualised by Domenico Porzio in collaboration with Leonardo Sciascia. The resulting volume, Fuoco all’anima, appeared in 1992 and was doubly posthumous and doubly unfinished. This essay seeks to reconstruct the hypothetical profile of a book which remained only virtual, drawing on unpublished documentation from the journalist’s archive, currently housed at the Fondazione Arnoldo e Alberto Mondadori in Milan, and on some of his articles which make direct reference to the project
