Outdoor furniture - case study of surroundings of Department ofwood science and technology
No full textV diplomski nalogi smo zasnovali ureditev zunanjega prostora, ki bo študentom omogočila dodaten prostor za druženje med odmori ter povečal učinkovitost odmora zaradi udobnejšega in bolj ergonomskega pohištva. Hkrati jim zunanje pohištvo omogoča večji stik z naravo in lesom, saj je planirano objekt postaviti okoli drevesa pred Oddelkom za lesarstvo. Objekt bo izdelan iz lesa sibirskega macesna in površinsko zaščiten z oljno lazuro. Temelji za postavitev konstrukcije ne bodo invazivni v naravo, stala bo na nogicah, nastavljivih po višini, katere bodo stale na betonskih ploščah za zagotavljanje večje stabilnosti. Objekt bo vseboval dve veliki platformi s po dvema ležalnikoma, ki bosta imela poleg postavljeno mizico, ki bo služila kot odlagalna površina. Ena mizica bo prosto stoječa, druga pa se bo nahajala v hrbtnem delu naslona na klopi. Platformi bosta povezani z notranjim delom – vmesnim mostom, ki bo služil kot prehod, in zunanjim delom – klopjo, ki bo namenjena za sedenje in ležanje. Na vsaki klopi bo na skrajni točki naslonjalo za boljši počitek.In the thesis, we designed the layout of an outdoor area which provides students with additional space for socializing during breaks and increases the effectiveness of the break by providing more comfortable and ergonomic furniture. The outdoor furniture and related building will allow greater contact with nature and wood, as it is planned to place the structure around the tree in front of the University of Ljubljana\u27s Department of Wood Science and Technology. The structure will be made of Siberian larch wood and the surface will be protected with an oil coating system. The foundation for the construction of the building will not interfere with nature and will stand on adjustable-support resting on concrete slabs to ensure greater stability. The construction will contain two large platforms, each with two deck chairs, next to which will be placed a table. One table will be freestanding, and the other will be located in the back of the bench storage area. The platforms will be connected by an intermediate bridge that will serve as a passageway, and a bench that will be used for sitting and lying down. Each bench will have a backrest at the outermost point, so that it is easier to rest on it
MOBILE APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT FOR ACCESSING FERI WEB PORTAL
No full textPametne mobilne naprave se v zadnjih letih zelo hitro razvijajo, trend njihove uporabe narašča, z dostopnostjo naprav preko naročniških paketov pri mobilnih operaterjih pa so dostopne tudi študentskemu žepu. V sklopu diplomskega dela smo predstavili razvoj mobilne aplikacije za dostop do spletnega portala FERI. Aplikacija je namenjena študentom in obsega najbolj pogosto uporabljene sklope, s čimer nudi lažji, hitrejši, predvsem pa prijaznejši pregled vsebin spletnega portala. Podrobneje je opisan postopek razvoja, primerjava najsodobnejših načinov razvoja mobilnih aplikacij in različnih medplatformskih ogrodij. Izvorna koda je izdana pod odprtokodno licenco in tako dopušča možnost nadaljnega razvoja in izboljšav mobilne aplikacije FERI.Smart mobile devices are developing very rapidly in recent years and the trend of their use is increasing also among students. As part of the thesis we are describing the development of mobile application for accessing the FERI web portal. The application is intended for students and provides easier, faster, and above all more friendlier access to frequently used parts. We go into details describing the development process, comparison of different cross-platform frameworks and modern ways for developing a mobile application. The source code is released under the open source license and allows the possibility for further development and improvement of the FERI mobile application

COMPARISON OF DATA PERSISTENCE IN JAVA APPLICATIONS USING OBJECT DATABASES AND JPA
No full textV diplomski nalogi pregledamo in primerjamo načine zagotavljanja trajnosti podatkov — objektov v Javanskih aplikacijah z uporabo objektnih podatkovnih baz in s pristopom Java Persistence API — JPA. Objektne baze omogočajo neposredno shranjevanje objektov v bazo in tako olajšajo zagotavljanje trajnosti pri objektno-orientiranem načinu programiranja.
Pristop JPA podatke shranjuje v relacijske podatkovne baze in uporablja objektno-relacijske metapodatke za preslikavo objektov, ki se uporabljajo znotraj aplikacije v entitete, ki se nahajajo v podatkovni bazi.
Zaradi lažje primerjave obeh smo isto aplikacijo izdelali z uporabo objektne baze in pristopa JPA. V času razvoja smo naredili praktično primerjavo razumevanja in uporabe obeh načinov.In the diploma thesis we examine and compare the manners of assuring data persistence – objects in Java applications with the use of object databases and with Java Persistence API – JPA approach. Object databases allow direct storage of objects into the database and therefore ease the assuring of persistence in object-oriented manner of programming.
The JPA approach stores the data into relational databases and uses object-relational metadata for object mapping, which is used inside the application to entities in the database.
For easier comparison of both, we produced the same application with the use of object base and JPA approach. During the development time, we made a practical comparison of understanding and use of both manners
ANALYSIS OF WEB 2.0 PATTERNS IN BUSINESS WEBSITES
No full textV diplomski nalogi opredelimo splet 2.0, njegov nastanek ter ključne aplikacije in storitve povezane s to novo generacijo spleta. Največji poudarek damo pregledu in predstavitvi vzorcev, ki se pojavljajo v spletu 2.0.
Na osnovi teh zbranih vzorcev naredimo analizo in zastopanost teh vzorcev v štirih različnih poslovno usmerjenih spletnih aplikacijah, in sicer: Amazon.com, LinkedIn, Datalabova partnerska stran in SiteStalk.
Glede na zbrane vzorce v tej diplomski nalogi in metodo za identifikacijo teh vzorcev, lahko te vzorce s to metodo identificiramo v poljubni spletni aplikaciji ali na spletni strani. Ustreznost metode lahko preverimo s pomočjo rezultatov identifikacije teh vzorcev v prej omenjenih izbranih spletnih aplikacijah.The present thesis addresses Web 2.0, its creation, and key applications and services connected with this new web generation. The main focus is put on overview and presentation of patterns which occur in Web 2.0.
On the ground of the collected patterns, an analysis and representation is made on four different business-oriented web applications: Amazon.com, LinkedIn, Datalab partner site and SiteStalk.
Considering the collected samples within this thesis and the method for identification of the samples, we can identify the samples with this method in any web application or web page. We can verify the adequacy of the method through results of identification of the samples within formerly mentioned selected web applications
