Fluid-rock interaction during the continental deep subduction: Oxygen isotopic profile of the main hole of the CCSD project.
The Chinese Continental Scientific Drilling (CCSD) Main Hole with a depth of 5158m located in the Donghai County, the southern Sulu ultrahigh-pressure (UHP) metamorphic belt, has been penetrated into a UHP metamorphic tectonic slab which consists of eclogite, gneiss, garnet peridotite, and minor quartzite and schist. Minerals from various rocks show large variations of oxygen isotopic composition, with ranges from -7.4 to +6. 2 for garnet, - 5. 2 to + 6. 5 for omphacite, - 4. 4 to + 7.1 for muscovite, - 3.1 to + 7.6 for plagioclase, 4. 8 to 8. 3 for K-feldspar, and - 2.8 to + 9.6 for quartz. Distinct O-isotopic depletions are observed in the frequently alternated layers of eclogite, paragneiss and orthogneiss, in which the variations of delta O-18 values are gradual, regardless of lithologies. Minimum depth of the O-isotopic anomaly has reached down to 3320 m. Eclogite-facies minerals have equilibrium O-isotopic compositions; while minerals from most gneisses have disequilibrium delta O-18 values. High-pressure and low-pressure quartz veins have similar or different O-isotopic compositions to their eclogite or gneiss country rocks. The metamorphic temperatures of 598 to 909 C for eclogites and 550 to 786 C for gneisses are estimated using the quartz-garnet thermometer of oxygen isotope. These facts, considering the distribution characters of O-isotopic depleted rocks in the outcrops and shallow drill holes of the Sulu area, suggest that: (1) a large amount of supracrustal rocks have interacted with the meteoric water during the Neoproterozoic global glaciation; ( 2)some orthogneisses from this drill hole show normal O-isotopic value, and have no any evidence of UHP metamorphism; (3) the channelized water/rock interactions and very limited fluid mobility was present during subduction and exhumation of the continental crust. The fluids related to the retrograde metamorphism of UHP rocks and the formation of some HP and LP veins are of in-situ origin; (4) the bimodal magmatic activities which were formed during the breakup of Rodinia supercontinent have provided the heating source for the rock - cold meteoric water interactions

Affective and Psycholinguistic Norms for 1200 Two‐character Chinese Words
ABSTRACT The interplay between emotion and language has drawn increasing attention from researchers in various fields, such as psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, and artificial intelligence. The classification of emotional words is crucial to experimental studies, as it serves as a fundamental step for unveiling the complex relationship between emotion and language. Hence, the current study introduces affective and psycholinguistic norms for 1200 two‐character Chinese words. The affective variables, including emotional prototypicality (EmoPro), valence, and arousal, as well as psycholinguistic variables (abstractness and familiarity), were rated by native speakers of Chinese using a 7‐point Likert scale. This set of norms, as far as we know, is the first one that provides words’ EmoPro together with other affective and psycholinguistic variables rated by the same group of participants. The results of inter‐rater reliability and correlation tests showed that this set of norms had good reliability and validity. The correlation between EmoPro and arousal was significant and strong. Valence and arousal exhibited an asymmetric U‐shaped relationship, with negative words being rated higher in arousal than positive ones. We also identified a quadratic relationship between EmoPro and valence, indicating that more prototypical emotion‐label words tend to trigger more extreme valence ratings. EmoPro significantly and positively correlated with abstractness, indicating that prototypical emotion‐label words tend to be more abstract. In addition, familiarity and word frequency predict lexical decision performance, whereas EmoPro does not after controlling for other variables. Mechanism Study of Photocatalytic Degradation of Gaseous Toluene on TiO2 with Weak-Bond Adsorption Analysis Using In Situ Far Infrared Spectroscopy
The development of far infrared spectroscopy offers a powerful method for comprehensive study in adsorption structure and photocatalytic degradation mechanism of photocatalysis. This study presented an improved in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy technique in far infrared region for investigation of weak-bond adsorption and photocatalytic degradation of gaseous toluene on the surface of TiO2. It was found that toluene tends to be adsorbed on the hydroxyl group via three possible sites, the ortho-, meta-, and para-adsorption site, instead of ipso-structure. The methyl group of toluene is consumed first during the process of toluene photocatalytic degradation. Based on these, a reaction route for the photocatalytic degradation of gaseous toluene on TiO2 surface was proposed

<p>The incompleteness of author names is a well-known issue in the MEDLINE database. It was since 2002, the full author name has been systematically indexed in MEDLINE. Although many full author names have been added to MEDLINE, we still found a significant number of abbreviated names in papers published after 2002.</p>
<p>Here we built an enhanced author name dataset for MEDLINE, called EAN, achieved by linking the whole PubMed to other large literature databases and conducting a large-scale name comparison and restoration with obtained multi-sources author names. Our evaluation shows that more than 90% of author names in EAN are complete as compared to the ratio of ~60% in MEDLINE.</p>
