Bachelor thesis Rupture of the Security Policy of France under the Leadership of Nicolas Sarkozy? Comparative Analysis of Participation in Conflicts with the EU and NATO Presence Marián Zachar Abstract Bachelor thesis "Rupture of the Security Policy of France under the Leadership of Nicolas Sarkozy? Comparative Analysis of Participation in Conflicts with the EU and NATO Presence" evaluates whether the arrival of President Nicolas Sarkozy marked the break or the so called rupture in the French security policy. The first chapter focuses on the historical background of the French foreign and security policy, especially during the presidency of Jacques Chirac and Nicolas Sarkozy. Their priorities identified in the Defense White Papers and their institutional relations within the EU and NATO were further developed in the following chapters, where approach of both presidents to missions led by NATO and the EU was analyzed. The second chapter consists of the analysis of the Artemis mission in Congo and EUFOR in Chad. Komparativní analýza účasti v konfliktech s přítomností EU a NATO Marián Zachar Abstrakt Bakalárska práca "Zlom v bezpečnostní politice Francie pod vedením Nicolase Sarkozyho? Komparativní analýza účasti v konfliktech s přítomností EU a NATO" pojednáva tom, či príchodom prezidenta Nicolasa Sarkozyho nastal vo francúzskej bezpečnostnej politike zlom, tzv. rupture.
The Benefits of Being Economics Professor A (and not Z)
Alphabetic name ordering on multi-authored academic papers, which is the convention in the economics discipline and various other disciplines, is to the advantage of people whose last name initials are placed early in the alphabet. As it turns out, Professor A, who has been a first author more often than Professor Z, will have published more articles and experienced afaster growth rate over the course of her career as a result of reputation and visibility. Moreover, authors know that name ordering matters and indeed take ordering seriously: Several characteristics of an author group composition determine the decision to deviate from the default alphabetic name order to a significant extent.performance measurement, incentives, economists, name ordering
