Studies on mediterranean hyphomycetes. VI. Remarks on Bactrodesmium and B. cubense Comb. Nov.
The mechanism of conidial secession in Bactrodesmium Cooke is discussed. A new combination, B. cubense (Castaneda & G. Arnold) Zucconi & Lunghini is proposed for Trichocladium cubense Castaneda & G. Arnol
Differential forms and quadrics of the canonical image
We extend the theory of Pirola and Zucconi (J Algebraic Geom 12(3):535–572, 2003). We introduce the new notion of adjoint quadric for canonical images of irregular varieties. Using this new notion, we obtain the infinitesimal Torelli theorem for varieties whose canonical image is a complete intersection of hypersurfaces of degree > 2 and for Schoen surfaces. Finally, we show that a family with fiberwise liftable holomorphic forms such that the fibers have Albanese morphism of degree 1 is birationally trivial if there exist no adjoint quadrics

Mountain tips as reservoirs for new rock-fungal entities: Saxomyces gen. nov. and four new species from the Alps
As part of a worldwide sampling nineblack fungi were isolated from rocks collected
in four distinct sites of the Alps at high altitudes. Based on a nucSSU, nucLSU and mtSSU multilocus
phylogeny, seven of them were found to cluster into a distinct and well-supported clade in a
basal position within the Class Dothideomycetes. As in other rock fungi these new groups of
isolates were characterized by a meristematic growth and a scarcely differentiated morphology with
highly melanized and thick-walled toruloid hyphae. Nonetheless, few peculiar characters were also
observed as convoluted hyphal tips and the production of spherical propagules. The new genus and
speciesSaxomyces alpinus and S. penninicus, are here described based on morphological and
molecular data, in a yet to be defined order of the Dothideomycetes. The remaining two black fungi
clustered in Cryomyces, a genus previously exclusively found in rocks from the McMurdo Dry
Valleys in Antarctica. These two isolates were genetically distant from other Antarctic Cryomyces

species based on ITS sequences, and they showed a peculiar morphology; they are here described as
the new species C. montanus and C. funiculosus. Implications of our results on the evolution,
adaptation and dispersal of rock-inhabiting fungi under extreme conditions are discussed.

Studies on Mediterranean Hyphomycetes .3. Quadracaea mediterranea anam-gen and sp nov
Quadracaea mediterranea anam.-gen. et sp. nov., an hyphomycete recorded on leaves of Quercus ilex L. from central Italy, is described, discussed and illustrated, also by means of SEM
Global Kodaira–Spencer class and Massey products
We define a new notion of supported global deformation class for a semistable family of complex varieties over a curve f : X → B. We use this notion to study when X, possibly up to a finite covering, has a generically finite morphism onto a product B × Y with Y of general type
A lexicon for Italian cinema: A conversation about history, theory and critique
This article represents the outcome of a round table organized and conducted by Giacomo Tagliani about the Lessico del cinema Italiano/Lexicon of Italian Cinema (2014–2016). This research and editorial project comprises three volumes and 21 entries that address the history of Italian cinema through an original and challenging approach, namely to detect a list of conceptual clusters able to provide new perspectives over the heritage of Italian films. In this refined version, the authors who took part in that round table, that is, Roberto De Gaetano (also editor of the volumes), Massimiliano Coviello, Luca Venzi and Francesco Zucconi, outline their involvement in the research project, their specific methodological references, their peculiar vision of the history of Italian cinema and eventually their point of view onto its current situation. This written conversation offers a broad survey of Lessico’s key aspects and addresses important methodological, theoretical and critical issues, trying to establish an interdisciplinary dialogue among different fields of studies
FUJITA DECOMPOSITION and MASSEY PRODUCT for FIBERED VARIETIES
Let f: X → B be a semistable fibration where X is a smooth variety of dimension n ≥ 2 and B is a smooth curve. We give the structure theorem for the local system of the relative 1-forms and of the relative top forms. This gives a neat interpretation of the second Fujita decomposition of f∗ωX/B. We apply our interpretation to show the existence, up to base change, of higher irrational pencils and on the finiteness of the associated monodromy representations under natural Castelnuovo-type hypothesis on local subsystems. Finally, we give a criterion to have that X is not of Albanese general type if B= P1
A note on a generalization of the Castelnuovo-de Franchis theorem
We prove a generalization of the Castelnuovo-de Franchis theorem in the case of p-forms and we apply it to show when, under some natural conditions, a suitable subset of p-forms constructs the Iitaka fibration
