    Perkembangan tradisi arabistika dan kajian AI-Qur \u27an di Rusia mengalami masa suram sepeninggal raja Peter the Great (1682- 1725) hinggu akhirnya memperoleh kegairahan dan napas baru ditangan Ratu Caterine (/762-1796) menjelang akhir abad 18 M yang mengeluarkan beberapa kebijakan monumental seperti: Pengkaderan dan Upaya Penubuhan institusi Studi Arabistika. Penerjemahan Al-Qur \u27an versi Petersburg dan Kazan, Penerjemahan Literatur Arab dan Para Kelana Rusia, hingga penerbitan Jurnal Ilmiah Populer dan Kamus Besar Bahasa Dunia. Beberapa upaya tersebut berhasil memberi gairah intelektualisme baru bagi bangsa Rusia dalam membangun fondasi keilmuon tradisi arabistika dan kajian AI-Qur \u27an. Artikel ini menganalisis fenomena tumbuh kembangnya tradisi arabistika dan pengaruhnya terhadap kajian AI-Qur \u27an oleh para orientalis Rusia semisal I. Yu. Krachkovskiy , P.A. Gryaznevich. Ye . A. Rezvan, dan lainnya. dengan menggunakan pendekatan sejarah sosial-intelektual. Pada saat yang sama artikel ini j uga mencermati fenomena serupa yang terjadi pada bangsa Barat dan Eropa seperti direkam oleh C. Edmund Bosworth, Rudi Paret, Maksim Rodin son dan lainnya serta diperkaya dengan sumber-sumber Arab terkait seperti ditulis oleh Nazhim Muhammad al-Dairawy dan Sami Dahhan

    Study on the Islamic studies tradition (orientalism) in Russia is quite rare, whereas compared to the Europeans or the West in general, the Russians actually have far reached into contact with Islam through a variety of traditions and cultures that developed the Arab-Muslim and Arab-Jewish.  This encounter  in the next stage turned into the birth of a tradition encouraging the study of Russian orientalism known as arabistika. This article attempts to trace the history of the growth of Islamic studies in Russia by looking at the factors driving its development and  the  official  policies  of  the  country’s  political  elite,  especially of Peters the Great. The author, in this context, tries to analyze the findings of I.Yu Krachkovsky  on spiritual tour performed by Russian intelligentsia to the Arab world, and the sources of Muh}ammad Na>z}im ad-Daira>wi revealing  the information  and documentation  of ancient Russian that are immortalized  by the some geographers,  historians, prominent Muslim adventurers such as at}-T}abari, al-Maqdisi, al-Idri>si>, al-Mas‘u>di>,  Ibn Khurdadbih, Ibn H}auqal,  Ibn Fad}la>n, Ibnu Bat{u>t}a and many others. This paper also reveal many of the central role of Peter the Great in the development of arabistika tradition in Russia

    Indonesian Islamic Tradition is a Wisdom that Liberates Society from the Shackles of Globalization

    This study aims to describe Islamic traditions in Indonesia as a source of law to free society from the shackles of globalization. This research is qualitative with a literature model. Research data in the form of Islamic traditional activities in the community. Data sources were obtained from several recent studies. Data collection was done using documentation technique. Meanwhile, data analysis was done using content analysis. The research findings show that Indonesian Islamic traditions have inherent values and teachings that can help communities strengthen their local strength and resist the negative influences of consumer culture and global hedonism. By integrating Islamic values with the local context, critical education can serve as a powerful tool to empower individuals and communities to resist the damaging effects of globalization. In conclusion, the Indonesian Islamic tradition holds valuable wisdom that can guide us in navigating the complexities of the modern world. By harnessing this wisdom and integrating it with critical education, we can strengthen local forces and resist external pressures, thus freeing ourselves from the shackles of globalization.     Work Culture of Tsanawiyah Madrasah During COVID-19 in Bandar Lampung City

    A Madrasa’s work culture values can influence not only emotional involvement, normative involvement, and job satisfaction, but also physical, emotional, and cognitive participation in the workplace. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the implementation of the 5 values of work culture at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Bandar Lampung. This research method is descriptive and qualitative in nature, and collects primary and secondary data using observation, interviews, and documentation. Upon collection, data analysis was carried out by reducing, displaying, and verifying the data so that it could be concluded at the end of the analysis. The research locations are as follows: Madrasah Tsanawiyah 1 Bandar Lampung, Madrasah Tsanawiyah 2 Bandar Lampung, Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah, and Private Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Bandar Lampung. The results explain that the implementation of a work culture by the Ministry of Religion is successful in Madrasah Tsanawiyah 1, Bandar Lampung. The Madrasah Tsanawiyah private schools in Bandar Lampung City are not yet optimal and will be improved. The success of implementing the teacher’s example must be carried out in collaboration between the school and parents, because parents are the main figures in the formation of their children’s character, and children will therefore act according to the examples applied during the COVID-19 pandemic.
