Brachysomus simplex Yunakov 2006
Brachysomus simplex group This group includes 3 species from Šar Planina: B. simplex, B. deceptorius and B. longipterus. In general appearance this species group is similar to Exomias Bedel, 1883 but differs in the structure of the head and the simple armature of and shape of the aedeagus. The species belonging to this group clearly differ from other Brachysomus in the following characters: body yellowish-brown, appearing almost naked, covered with very sparse hair-like slender scales.Published as part of Yunakov, Nikolai, 2022, A review of the genus Brachysomus Schoenherr (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Entiminae), pp. 1-165 in Zootaxa 5193 (1) on page 35, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.5193.1.1, http://zenodo.org/record/714438
