Calicnemia soccifera Yu & Chen, 2013 (Figs. 7 A–E; 8A–C) Calicnemia soccifera: Yu & Chen, 2013: 183 –188 (Yunnan, China) Specimens examined. 1♂, Nam Bung, Tu Le, Yen Bai Prov., 20.V.2014, Haruki Karube leg.; 1♂, Love waterfall, Sa Pa, Lao Cai Prov., 23.V.2014, Haruki Karube leg.; 1♂, 27.VI.2014, Hoa Binh Prov., Tom Kompier leg.; 1♂ 1♀, 30.IV.2014, Nam Bung, Yen Bai Prov., Tom Kompier leg. Notes. This species was first reported from Vietnam by Sebastien Delonglee from Ba Vi National Park in May 2013 (S. Delonglee, pers. comm.). Records published in this article are the first peer–reviewed records for Vietnam. It is important to note that the species darkens with age. Younger specimens match the original description well in their color pattern, the synthorax striped yellowish when immature (Fig. 8 B), but become darker with age, the pale stripes getting covered in greyish pruinosity (Fig. 8 A); the femora are reddish, contrasting with black tibiae and tarsi. In the male the six anterior abdominal segments are red, in the female orange–brown (Figs. 7 A, 8A–C), although in one specimen from Hoa Binh abdomen completely reddish. Some aged specimens of C. soccifera from Vietnam are slightly different from the fully mature holotype (Yu & Chen 2013: Fig. 1 B) by having very dark synthorax without pruinose antehumeral stripe (Fig. 7 A). Distribution. Tu Le, Yen Bai Prov.; Sa Pa, Lao Cai Prov.; Hoa Binh Prov.; Ba Vi National Park, Ha Noi; Xuan Son National Park, Phu Tho Prov.Published as part of Phan, Quoc Toan, Kompier, Tom & Karube, Haruki, 2017, Description of two new Calicnemia from Vietnam and central Laos with notes on their congeners in Vietnam (Odonata: Platycnemididae), pp. 409-420 in Zootaxa 4232 (3) on pages 417-418, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4232.3.9, http://zenodo.org/record/29323
