Inventory of Exogenous Factors Affecting Platelet Aggregation Isolated from Plant Sources
Medicinal plants have been used as traditional remedies in oriental countries for hundreds of years. Especially in Chinese herbal medicines, many drugs have been claimed for uses in improving the peripheral circulation, inducing fibrinolysis or preventing thrombosis. In recent decades, many active components have been isolated and proved to possess antiplatelet effects. In addition, some antiplatelet agents were also found from random sereening tests in the pharmacological evaluation of the plant extracts. According to their actions on the platelet aggregation, release reaction and signal transduction, these antiplatelet agents can be classified into the following groups.#0973
