In recent years, many regions have been vigorously promoting the development of cultural industry, and many cultural and creative parks continue to appear in people's vision. Industrial cultural and creative parks, as an important carrier of urban renewal and industrial heritage revitalization, provide a new growth point for the regional economy. Shenyang, as one of the important old industrial cities in the three northeastern provinces, has left a rich industrial heritage. With the rapid progress of science and technology and the steady development of society, many of the previous old factories in Tiexi District have been gradually eliminated. This paper takes Hongmei Cultural and Creative Park in Tiexi District of Shenyang as the research object to explore the development strategy of industrial cultural and creative park. From the excavation of historical value, the reshaping of urban memory points, the absorption of creative talents, the optimization of publicity channels and other aspects of the analysis, to find out the existing problems, and put forward the corresponding recommendations, aiming to provide a reference for the development of other industrial cultural and creative parks, to promote the protection and reuse of industrial heritage, and to promote the inheritance and development of urban culture

Tetanus vaccination is associated with differential DNA-methylation: Reduces the risk of asthma in adolescence

BackgroundVaccinations have been suggested to be associated with increased risk of allergic diseases. Tetanus vaccination is one of the most frequently administered vaccines as a part of wound management and was also found to be associated with increased serum IgE levels. We hypothesized that the vaccination modifies the risk of allergic diseases through epigenetic changes such as DNA methylation.MethodData on tetanus vaccination between 10 and 18 years of age was collected from a birth cohort established on the Isle of Wight UK in 1989. DNA methylation data were collected from individuals at different ages (at birth [n = 30], age 10 [n = 34], age 18 [n = 245] and during pregnancy [n = 121]) using the Illumina Infinium HumanMethylation450 K array. Firstly, we performed an epigenome-wide screening to identify cytosine-phosphate-guanine sites (CpGs) associated with tetanus vaccination in 18-year-olds. Secondly, we tested their association with asthma, allergic sensitization, eczema, serum IgE and pulmonary lung function (FVC, FEV1, FEV1/FVC, and FEF25-75%). We then described changes in the methylation of the selected CpG sites over age, and by vaccination status.ResultsTetanus vaccination was found to be associated with decreased methylation of cg14472551 (p value 0.5 × 10?5, FDR-adjusted p value 2.1 × 10?4) and increased methylation of cg01669161 (p value 0.0007, FDR-adjusted p value 0.014). Both CpGs, in turn, were associated with decreased risk of asthma at 18 years of age. Cg14472551 is located in an intron of KIAA1549L, whose protein binds to a B-cell commitment transcription factor; cg01669161 is located between an antisense regulator of the proteasome assembly chaperone PSMG3, and TFAMP1, a pseudogene. Increased methylation of cg01669161 was also associated with decreased serum IgE levels.ConclusionDNA methylation changes following tetanus vaccination may offer a novel prospect to explain a differential occurrence of asthma in adolescence

Yin–Yang Complementarity Strategy Achieving Giant Optical Anisotropy in a Metal-free Birefringent Material C(NH2)3(HC4O4)

The Yin–Yang complementarity strategy was first proposed to successfully develop a superior metal-free birefringent material C(NH2)3(HC4O4), which was fabricated by two kinds of planar π-conjugated units containing triangle [C(NH2)3]+ cations and square [HC4O4]− anions. C(NH2)3(HC4O4) features a giant birefringence (0.313@546 nm), which is significantly enhanced compared to the commercially available birefringent materials

Immune Deficiency and Autoinflammation, the " Yin" and " Yang" of the Immune System

    No full text
Inborn errors of immunity (IEI) are immune system disorders caused by genetic mutations, often presenting with varying degrees of infection, immune dysregulation, lymphoproliferation, and tumor susceptibility. Initially, IEIs were typically diagnosed in patients with recurrent and unusual infections. However increasing research has shown that noninfectious manifestations can also be the initial or even primary presentation of IEI. Over the past ten years, more and more IEIs associated with autoinflammatory symptoms have been identified. Although these diseases are rare, relevant research suggests that immune deficiency and autoinflammation are not opposing conditions but rather interconnected aspects of the immune system, influencing each other in a complementary and inseparable manner. This article reviews the mechanisms involved in IEI with autoinflammation, and proposes some clues for identifying IEI manifested as autoinflammation. It also summarizes the current progress in the diagnosis and treatment of IEI manifested as autoinflammation, and presents prospects for future research on IEI

Ph.D.The woodblock printing stepped onto the stage of prosperity in late imperial China, especially in Jiangnan region, producing amounts of anthologies and collections among literati. There was also a sudden increase of women’s works printed in 16-18 centuries. This phenome n on has aroused lots of scholars interests from 1980s. But the institutional factors concerning women’s enthusiasm in printing seems still unclear. For literary women, writing and printing is not only a way of self expression but also a way to construct their identities as an ideal Guixiu. Women themselves, their families, the local and central government we re closely involved in the constructing process. To make it more clear, my research tries to illustrate it in third aspects. First, how did printing culture redefine and reshape the title of Guixiu which led to the transfer of women s writing group from courtesans to gentry women. Second, to cope with the gender tension arisen from women s printing enthusiasm, the central institutions promoted several official printing anthologies aiming at guiding women’s writing and publishing activities, and then, reconstructing gender order and public morality. Finally, from institutional perspective, women can record their talent and morality through the printed works, which can complement the deficiency of women’s purity stele system. This double track system was an efficient way for them to pursue women's own immortality after death. Parallel title from added title page.Thesis Ph.D. Chinese University of Hong Kong 2019.Includes bibliographical references (leaves 169-192).Abstracts in Chinese and English.Title from PDF title page (viewed on February 22, 2022).Wang Hongmei
