Performance, management and financing of the Prague State Opera after its merger with the Opera of the National Theatre
No full textThe work compares available pieces of information about the management of the National Theatre and the Prague State Opera before and after the merger. The work does not aim to formulate final conclusions about the merger, as this extensive process is only in its early stages of development. The aim is to organize unsorted information about opera sphere in Prague, to analyse results achieved so far, to create a comparison with the previous status, and conclude author's own assessment of the direction of the transformation process. The merger is examined from several perspectives. Firstly, the author surveys the economic results and indicators in the long term horizon and interprets them in terms of the organizations themselves, but also in context of the cultural sector and public finance of the Czech Republic. The author draws information on the economic situation mainly from secondary documents, such as annual reports, management conceptions and also internal documents that were provided to the author by economic department of the National Theatre. In addition to economic impacts, the author also looks at other aspects of the merger, which are more qualitative -- such as dramaturgy or changes concerning employees. The author has received primary information for this purpose through personal interviews with current or former employees. In conclusion, the author presents the intentions of the institutions' leadership, as well as its visions for the near future

Hodnotí zkušenosti získané mapováním v oblastech severní Kanady a na základě autorových výzkumů ve třech severských oblastech, obývaných původním obyvatelstvem v podmínkách ohrožování krajinné rovnováhy vnějšími faktory, se snaží navrhovat realizovatelný způsob krajinného etnoekologického mapování a plánování pro oblast severozápadní Sibiře.Work is concerned with possibility of the application of ethnology and landscape ecology methods in protection of the ethno-ecological landscape stability and landscape planning in the area of northwest Siberia. Valuable experiences were acquired from mapping in region northern Canada and on the basis of author's research in three northern regions (Sverdlovsk region, Jamalo-Nenets autonomous region, Russia and NWT, Canada). These regions are inhabited by original population in conditions of landscape balance threatened by outer factor. No full textCílem práce je postihnout současnou podobu lidového léčitelství v České republice. Terénní výzkum byl zaměřen na osobnosti vybraných léčitelů, které byly podrobeny hlubší analýze. Na základě analýzy výpovědí zkoumaných léčitelů se autorka snaží zodpovědět stanovené výzkumné otázky. Autorka se například snaží zjistit, jakými léčitelskými schopnostmi léčitelé disponují, jakým způsobem léčí své pacienty, jaké jsou jejich inspirační zdroje nauk, ale zaměřuje se i na problematiku ekonomické stránky léčitelské činnosti. Autorka se také zaměřuje na otázku, jaký zastávají léčitelé postoj ke klasické medicíně, zda jsou léčitelské schopnosti dědičné a jak ovlivnila léčitelská činnost léčitelů jejich vztah k přátelům a rodině.
Lidové léčitelství v sobě zahrnuje spojitost s magickým myšlením. Z tohoto důvodu se autorka zaměřuje na téma magického myšlení v oblasti léčení, kterému je magické chování přisuzováno. Práce obsahuje komparaci provedenou na základě teoretického uchopení šamanského léčení a informací o léčitelství nasbíraných při vlastním terénním výzkumu.
Autorka se pokusila v tomto magicko-náboženském fenoménu o nalezení společných prvků s léčitelstvím a o nalezení společných prvků šamana a léčitele.The aim is to capture the current form of folk-art healing in the Czech Republic. Field research was focused on selected personality healers, who have been subjected to deeper analysis. Based on the analysis examined the statements of healers, the author tries to answer the research questions set. The author, for example, trying to figure out what healers have extraordinary abilities, how they treat their patients, what are their sources of inspiration doctrines, but focuses on issues of economics healing activity. The author also addresses the question of what attitude to take the healers traditional medicine, whether they are hereditary and healing abilities to influence the activity of healers healing their relationship to friends and family. Folk-art healing includes links to magical thinking. For this reason, the author focuses on magical thinking in the field of healing, which is attributed magical behavior. The work includes a comparison made on the basis of a theoretical grasp of shamanic healing and healing of the information collected in their own field research. No full textPráce srovnává dostupné informace o hospodaření Národního divadla a Státní opery Praha před jejich sloučením a po něm. Neklade si za cíl vyslovit definitivní závěry o efektivitě sloučení, neboť zatím byly uskutečněny jen počáteční fáze tohoto rozsáhlého procesu. Cílem práce je uspořádat informace o nepřehledném dění v pražském operním prostředí, analyzovat doposud dosažené výsledky, učinit srovnání s předchozím stavem a dojít k vlastnímu zhodnocení směřování transformačního procesu. Sloučení institucí je zkoumáno z několika pohledů. Za prvé jsou sledovány výsledky hospodaření a ekonomické ukazatele v dlouhodobém časovém horizontu a jsou interpretovány jak z hlediska organizací samotných, tak v kontextu kulturního sektoru a veřejných financí České republiky. Informace o ekonomické situaci autorka čerpá převážně ze sekundárních materiálů, jako jsou výroční zprávy, koncepce řízení a dále interní dokumenty, které byly autorce poskytnuty ekonomickým oddělením Národního divadla. Kromě ekonomických dopadů sloučení operních domů jsou tematizovány i jiné aspekty fúze, které jsou spíše kvalitativního charakteru -- například dramaturgie nebo uskutečněné změny pro zaměstnance. Pro tyto účely autorka získala primární informace prostřednictvím osobních rozhovorů se současnými a bývalými zaměstnanci. Dále se autorka zabývá historií alternativní medicíny v České republice, komunitou terapeutů v Pardubicích a fungováním této komunity. Popisuje důvody, které vedou terapeuty a klienty k vyhledávání shiatsu.This thesis describes alternative medicine, primarily shiatsu, and its

Student of Social Anthropology in the University of Pardubice, a Subculture or not?
No full textPráce se zabývá diskuzí o vymezení statusu skupiny studentů oboru Sociální
antropologie na Univerzitě Pardubice, jako o subkultuře. Důvodem je, že do dnešních
dnů bylo přehnaně mnoho skupin označeno jako subkultura a na druhou stranu se od
tohoto pojmu začíná ustupovat, vzhledem k pluralizaci majoritní kultury, což do jisté
míry někdy přispívá ke zmatení pojmů. Proto se autor rozhodl zjistit, jaká situace je u
skupiny studentů oboru. Autor se snaží, na základě vlastního terénního výzkumu, nalézt
jednotlivé důležité prvky, které tvoří strukturu skupiny studentů oboru a ty potom
porovnává s jednotlivými přístupy dalších autorů, kteří se touto tématikou zabývali.
S pomocí výpovědí respondentů by mu to mělo pomoci k rozřešení předmětu výzkumu,
tedy zdali jsou studenti subkulturou či nikoliv.The thesis deals with the defining of a status of the students of the Social Anthropology
at the University of Pardubice as a subculture. The point is that by now too many goups
have been determined as subcultures, and on the other hand this notion is not used so
often nowdays because of the pluraliation of the main culture, which into a certain
extent sometimes contributes to a confusion of conceptions. These were the reasons why
the author decided to find out what the situation was with the students of Anthropology.
The author tried to find the charecterstics which determine the group of students as a
subculture and to compare those to the approaches of some other authors, who research
the problem. The interviews with the students are to help the author to solve the research

Zbylá část práce je věnována popisu fungování komunity těchto uživatelů.The work focuses on the issue of meth use on Jičín. The introduction outlines the brief history of human connection and drug use. Furthermore, the author examines the reasons why people actually resorted to the use of methamphetamine. For a complex evaluation of the financial situation of the company the author used standard methods like horizontal and vertical analysis, balance rules, ratio indicators, schemes of indicators, Economic Value Added and also comparison with several companies from the industry. There is an important part on the macroeconomic and industry analysis at the beginning of the practical part of the thesis.
