Generalization of Horadam's Sequence
Abstract In this paper a new class of Fibonacci like sequence is introduced. Here we consider non-homogeneous recurrence relation to obtain generalization of Horadam's Sequence. Some identities concerning this new sequence are obtained and proved. Some examples are given in support of the results
On Chaplygin’s Method For First Order Neutral Differential Equation
In this paper we discuss the existence of a solution of a first order neutral differential equation with piecewise constant argument. We extend the method of Chaplygin’s sequence to obtain two sided bounds for the solution. These bounds are in the form of sequences of functions which are solutions of associated linear neutral differential equations with piecewise constant argument. This construction of monotonic sequences of upper and lower functions approximate, with increasing accuracy, the desired solution of the neutral differential equation with piecewise constant argument. Further we show that these sequences converge uniformly and monotonically to the unique solution of the equation.The error estimate obtained is better than the corresponding one for ordinary differential equations
Classification of Some First Order Functional Differential Equations With Constant Coefficients to Solvable Lie Algebras
In this paper, we shall apply symmetry analysis to some first order functional differential equations with constant coefficients. The approach used in this paper accounts for obtaining the inverse of the classification. We define the standard Lie bracket and make a complete classification of some first order linear functional differential equations with constant coefficients to solvable Lie algebras.We also classify some nonlinear functional differential equations with constant coefficients to solvable Lie algebras
Some Existence Theorems for Periodic Boundary Value Problem of First Order Delay Differential Equation
In this paper we establish existence results for periodic boundary value problem of first order delay differential equation using Leray - Schauder alternative and Schauder’s fixed point theorem. We define lower and upper solutions to establish existence of solution between them. Further we define strict lower and upper solutions for the problem to establish existence of solution strictly between the two
