Zheng Xuan-Fu Editions of Yu Tai Xin Yong
No full textThe Yu Tai Xin Yong (玉臺新詠) edition printed by Zheng Xuan-Fu (鄭玄撫) in the Jiajing period (嘉靖) in the 19th year of the Ming Dynasty (明代) is the foundational edition in Zheng Xuan-Fu editions (鄭玄撫系統), one of the two major editions of Yu Tai Xin Yong. Zheng’s edition of the Yu Tai Xin Yong was compiled and edited by Zheng Xuan-Fu based on an incomplete edition and a handwritten copy, differing from the other major editions of Yu Tai Xin Yong, Chen Yu-Fu editions (陳玉父系統), therefore contains information not present in the Chen editions and holds unique textual value. Another significant aspect of Zheng’s edition is that it reintroduced Yu Tai Xin Yong to the public eye, greatly influencing its transmission. The editions circulated during the Ming Dynasty primarily belong to Zheng’s editions. However, there is considerable confusion and error in the current records of ancient books that the supposedly Jiajing period Xu Xue-Mo (徐學謨)’s Hai Shu Lou (海曙樓) edition is actually a Wanli (萬曆) period reprint that omits information about Zheng’s original carving, which does not affect Zheng’s edition’s status as the original and authoritative Ming edition. Additionally, the so-called Jiajing 22nd year Yang Shi-Kai (楊士開)’s edition, claiming to be based on a Song Dynasty edition (宋本), is actually a recarved (挖改) print derived from Xu’s edition, with no genuine connection to the Song source. Symmetries in toric topology
No full textA polyhedral product (X,A)K is determined by a finite simplicial complex K and m pairs of topological spaces. The functorial property of polyhedral products implies two types of symmetries of polyhedral products induced by symmetries of simplicial complexes and by group actions on the topological pairs. In this thesis, we consider these two types of symmetries.In the case of G-polyhedral products induced by a simplicial G-complex K, we show that the homotopy decomposition Sigma (X,A)K due to Bahri-Bendersky-Cohen-Gitler [3] is homotopy G-equivariant after suspension. It implies a homological decomposition of Hi((X,A)K) in terms of G-representations, which we rely on to study the representation stability of polyhedral product in the sense of Church-Farb [15].The torus actions on moment-angle complexes ZK is a special case of actions on polyhedral products induced by actions on the topological pairs. In this thesis, we compute the cohomology of the quotient ZK/S1 under free circle actions and introduce a chain complex (C*(L),δ) whose homology isomorphic to H*(ZK/S1;R). For certain cases K, we determine the homotopy types of ZK/S1

Ma-Huang-Fu-Zi-Xi-Xin Decoction for Allergic Rhinitis: A Systematic Review
No full textBackground. The treatment effects and safety of Ma-Huang-Fu-Zi-Xi-Xin decoction for patients with allergic rhinitis have yet to be clarified. Objectives. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects and safety of Ma-Huang-Fu-Zi-Xi-Xin decoction in patients with allergic rhinitis. Methods. We searched PubMed, EMBASE (Excerpta Medical Database), Cochrane Library, Chinese Cochrane Centre’s Controlled Trials Register Platform, Wanfang Chinese Digital Periodical and Conference Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) Database, and VIP Chinese Science and Technique Journals Database to collect randomized controlled trials of Ma-Huang-Fu-Zi-Xi-Xin decoction (MHFZXXD) for allergic rhinitis (AR) prior to May 8, 2017. RevMan 5.3 software was used to conduct a meta-analysis. GRADE methodology was applied to evaluate the evidence quality for each outcome. Results. Six randomized controlled trials (RCTs) involving 576 participants (10–78 years old) were included. A meta-analysis revealed that the overall effect of MHFZXXD for AR was not better than western medical treatment (RR: 0.41; 95% CI: 0.26–0.65; P=0.0001) for all included studies. However, the evidence quality of these western medical intervention studies was low or very low due to a high risk of bias, small sample sizes, and poor-quality design.</jats:p
