The species is similar to F. s u l c a t a Meyrick, which was described from N. India, and it is characterized by the male genitalia with a small spine on the ventral margin of the valva, and extremely emarginated on the caudal margin of the juxta. The female is as yet unknown. The species is superficially similar to F. neacantha Wu and Park, but can be distinguished by the male genitalia: valva roundly expanded terminally, juxta not sharply pointed at laterocaudal apices, and aedeagus with weakly sclerotized, quadrate plate, not very narrowed apically.     1. Frisilia ancylosana Wu and Park, 1999 Korean Jour. Syst. Zool. 15 (1): 5. TL: Sri Lanka, Kan. Dist., Peradeniya. [USNM]. Diagnosis. The species can be distinguished from the related species of the genus by the dark fuscous antenna. The male genitalia also have good separable characteristics with extremely long, lanceolate, sword-shaped median lobe of the juxta. The female is as yet unknown. Adult (Fig. 2, non-type in USNM). The male genitalia are very similar to those of F. strepsiptilia Meyrick, and can be distinguished from the latter by the slender lateral lobe of the juxta and the less stout aedeagus.
