No full textEffectiveness of Facial Acupressure and Acupuncture on Musculus Facei
Get PDFBackground: Fatigue on the face can affect the brightness of the face, if the facial muscles function well, the health of the face will be immediately visible. There are many facial care methods currently offered, which can be done with facial acupuncture and acupuncture. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of facial acupressure and acupuncture on the facial muscles, which has never been done before. Methods: Analytical experimental research was divided into two groups, the first group was given facial acupuncture treatment and the second group was given facial acupuncture treatment. The data obtained in the form of facial muscle relaxation is indicated by the disappearance of wrinkles on the face with a score of (1, 2, 3). The dependent variables are facial acupuncture and facial acupuncture. Inclusion criteria were women aged 40 – 50 years, agreed to take part in this study, and had no facial abnormalities. The exclusion criteria are women aged less than 40 years or over 50 years, and there are defects in the facial area. This research will be carried out in May – June 2023 at the Wijaya Surabaya doctor's practice and polyclinic. Results: The results of the study found that 20 minutes of facial acupuncture was useful for relaxing the facial muscles by up to 60%, on the sixth day the face looked brighter and cleaner, while acupuncture therapy on the facial muscles experienced relaxation of up to 60% on the sixth day with 30 minutes. The effectiveness of facial acupressure therapy is 10 minutes faster than acupuncture. Conclusion: Facial acupressure therapy and acupuncture therapy have proven to be effective in relaxing the facial muscles
Effectiveness of the Combination of Facial Acupressure and Honey on Facial Skin Moisture
Get PDFBackground: Facial skin is the most sensitive part, so it is important to take care of it. Facial skin care is a treatment to keep facial skin elastic and maintain facial skin moisture. Facial acupressure is a method of treatment that begins with massaging the meridian points so that blood flow becomes smooth and facial muscles feel more relaxed. Using honey is a facial skin care method that is made into a mask. Objective: The research aims to determine the effectiveness of the combination of facial acupressure and honey on facial skin moisture. Methods: This research is an analytical experimental study, with a sample of 30 women aged 40 - 50 years. In the first treatment, a moisture test was carried out, followed by the second treatment, the moisture test was measured for the facial acupressure and after the third treatment, the combination of the facial acupressure with a honey mask was subjected to a moisture test. The research was carried out twice a week for 4 weeks for a total of 8 times. The research was carried out in April – May 2024 at the Wijaya Surabaya clinic & in a doctor's practice and used a Skin Moisture Analyzer as a measuring tool to measure skin moisture. Using statistical analysis with the Mann-Whitney test (α= 0.05) with a p-value of 0.000. Result: The results of the third treatment showed an increase in facial skin moisture until it reached 93.4%, including moist skin and 6.6%, which was considered normal skin criteria. Conclusion: It has been proven that the combination of facial acupressure and honey is effective on facial skin moisture, experiencing very significant changes in humidity starting from the first, second and third treatments
Combination of Moringa Leaves Mask (Moringa Oleifera L.) and Butterfly Pea Flower Mask (Clitorea Ternatea L.) Plus Honey for Face Skin Moisture
Get PDFBackground: Facial skin care is needed to maintain and preserve moisture and elasticity of the facial skin. The use of organic masks can be used to treat and provide nutrition to the facial skin to overcome facial skin problems. Objective: The purpose of this study was to measure effectiveness of the combination of moringa leaves mask (Moringa oleifera L.) and honey with butterfly pea flower mask (Clitorea ternatea L.) on facial skin moisture. Methods: The research is an analytical experimental study, 30 women aged 40-50 years old were given a combination of moringa leaves mask and honey on the right side of the face and butterfly pea flower mask and honey on the left side of the face, then before using the mask and after using the mask, the moisture value of the facial skin was measured with a skin moisture analyzer. The treatment in this study was given twice a week for three weeks, from April to May 2025 at the Wijaya Surabaya doctor's practice and clinic, using statistical analysis of the Pearson Correlation test with a p value of 0.000 (α <0.005). Result: The combination of moringa leaves and honey experienced an increase in moisture value of 70% moist skin and 30% normal skin, and the combination of butterfly pea flower mask and honey experienced an increase of 60% moist skin and 40% to normal skin. Conclusion: The combination of moringa leaves mask and honey with butterfly pea flower mask and honey only has a difference of 10%, meaning that the use of both combinations of these masks is equally useful in increasing moisture in facial skin
