Reformní katolík Josef Dobrovský The Reform Catholic Josef Dobrovský Josef Táborský The goal of this dissertation thesis is to introduce Josef Dobrovský as a priest influenced by the Enlightenment and participating in reformative effort in Catholic church of 18th century. Author of this dissertation has not focused on Josef Dobrovský's excellent scientific work but rather on the importance of Josef Dobrovský as both the scholar and the the man oriented towards the Christian faith and questions connected with it

This thesis aims to introduce a new figure in Czech prose, Josef Formanek. The focus is predominantly on the interpretation and evaluation of the novel Mluviti pravdu. Other parts of the thesis deal with a comprehensive characterisation of individual works of the author. The outcome is to depict how Josef Formanek is placed in the context of contemporary Czech literature. The aim of the thesis is to provide a monography about the new author of Czech prose ,whose monography hasn't been written up as of yet

Interpretation of fairy tales authored by Josef Štefan Kubín Ondřej Vojtíšek Abstract: This bachelor's thesis deals with interpretation of Josef Štefan Kubín's author fairy tales both in theory and application. Its goal is to describe options of interpretation of children's literature and to demonstrate these options by means of Kubín's literal work. As a result, this bachelor's thesis also highlights semantics riches and valuable qualities of this part of Kubín's work, which is being neglected by publishers nowadays. In its theoretical part, the thesis addresses several issues: different ways of interpretation of fairy tales, specification of the term "author fairy tale" and the different forms of Kubín's fairy tales. As a method of interpretation, synthesis of several approaches (Franz, Šmahelová, Urbanová, and others) was used and each of these approaches was described by one example. This synthesis provides insight into the meaning of fairy tales that can be therefore understood as representation of situations outlined not only with help of motives but with help of specific expressions as well. Collections of fairy tales authored by Kubín are analyzed in respect to the amount of Kubín's own invention compared with the quantity of folk motives. This analysis is accompanied by brief Kubín's biography and..

Josef Willomitzer (1849 - 1900). Life and Work of German Writing Author from Bohemia. The bachelor theses deals with life and work of german writing author from Bohemia, Josef Willomitzer. The work describes as a introduction the social and culture situation in Prague in the end of 19. century. The following chapters concern Willomitzers life and work in context of the historical and political development of Bohemia. The work is based on information available from ressources such as lexicons, newspaper articles and archive ressources. Apart from his life is in this work described also his journalistic activity. In the last part is summarized Willomitzers literary work. The analysis of chosen works which correspond to certain historical topics is also involved. The purpose of this work is to draw up a compact biography of Josef Willomitzer and a summary of his work. Keywords: Josef Willomitzer, humoresque, journalism, Bohemia, German Prague in the end of 19. centur

The bachelor thesis is about Josef Janda and his legend creation. The aim of this thesis is to present the life and work of a scribe and chronicler Josef Janda. The theoretical part presents author Josef Janda from Horni Branná and its fund, which is particularly interesting in terms of folkloric and ethnographic. The practical part analyses the legends, that with using the methods of comparison, I compare with other legends from various authors that wrote the particular legends as well

Josef Hlávka and his contribution to the Development of the Czech education

The research into the student hall of residence founded in 1907 thanks to the impulse, plans, personal effort, and mainly to the large donation of Josef Hlávka has so far left out the fact that there was a long tradition of student halls of residence in Prague and elsewhere beforehand. The author of the thesis attempts to prove that some aspects of Hlávka's project, particularly it's charitable and nationalist motivations, existed much earlier. However, unlike other charity institutions of this kind, Josef Hlávka aimed to provide talented and hard- working but evincibly underfunded Czech students with education in foreign languages and with additional education in upper class etiquette including fencing lessons. What may have been support to Czech students and enhancement of their opportunities came to be, after the foundation of Czechoslovakia in 1918, an old-fashioned and outlived part of education of new academic juveniles

Gate Bias Dependence of Flicker Noise in Graphene as a Result of Carrier Statistics

    No full text
Flicker noise in graphene has been investigated by several authors and a variety of behaviors of its power spectral density have been observed as a function of the backgate bias. In particular, in bilayer graphene, but also in a few samples of monolayer graphene, a minimum of flicker noise has been observed at the Dirac point, and several explanations have been proposed. An interesting theory exploited screening of a trapped carrier and the peculiar properties of the graphene bandstructure to explain the observed features of flicker noise. We have developed a different approach that leads to analogous results starting from the mass-action law and from the observation that the prevalent components of flicker noise are slow compared to the generation-recombination times of carriers. Here we further develop such a model and apply it to a wider range of situations. We rely on the preservation of the electric neutrality of the conductor and, as a result of the mass-action law, of the product of electron and hole concentrations. A direct consequence of these two constraints is that near the Dirac point a trapping event leads to screening by both types of carriers (electrons and holes) and to no net variation of the total available number of carriers. As a result of the symmetry between the transport properties of electrons and holes in graphene, the preservation of the total number of carries leads to the disappearance of generation-recombination noise (which is at the basis of flicker noise, that can be interpreted as a superposition of Lorentzian generation-recombination spectra) in this circumstance. On the other hand, far away from the Dirac point a trapping event leads to a variation of the number of carriers by one unit, as in ordinary doped semiconductors, thereby without any suppression of flicker noise. If we perform a numerical calculation of the flicker noise power spectral density as a function of the carrier concentration, we obtain a good match with the experimental data for bilayer graphene. The observed behavior for monolayer graphene, which does not usually exhibit a minimum at the Dirac point, can be retrieved taking into consideration a disorder model resulting from the presence of randomly located impurities
