    Characterization of Maudheimiidae <p>Adults of the family Maudheimiidae is characterized by a weakly sclerotized cuticle; subcapitular mentum without tectum; lamella narrow, mostly without cusp, when present very small; tutorium narrow, mostly without cusp, when present very small; bothridium posteriorly partly covered by notogaster; narrow anterior notogastral tectum present; posterior notogastral tectum present; small octotaxic porose areas; pteromorph immovable, small; 10 or 15 pairs of notogastral setae present; custodium absent; six pairs of genital setae present; postanal porose area absent.     Key to the species of Lepidozetes in the Holarctic region For the Palaeactic and Nearctic regions, five valid species were described; Lepidozetes bavaricus n. sp. is the sixth one. The geographical distributions are cited in the following after Subías (2013): Lepidozetes singularis Berlese, 1910 (Holarctic); L. latipilosus Hammer, 1952 (Holarctic); L. dashidorzsi Balogh et Mahunka, 1965 (Eastern Palaearctic); L. trifolius (Fujikawa, 1972) (Holarctic); L. umbellatus (Bugrov, 1991) (Western Asia). The characters used in the key are taken mostly from the original descriptions, in L. dashidorzsi additionally from Bayartogtokh & Aoki (1999). The structure of the tutorium is not described for L. dashidorzsi and L. trifolius. 1.
