Paratrichocladius tridens Fu et Wang
Paratrichocladius tridens Fu et Wang (Fig. 12 A–B) Paratrichocladius tridens Fu et Wang, 2008: 728. Material examined. CHINA: Tibet Autonomous Region, Chayu County, Xiachayu Town, Baantong Village (28 ° 37 ’N, 97 ° 29 ’E), alt. 1600m, sweeping, holotype male, 13. vi. 1988, Chengyu Deng (BDN No. 1723). Paratypes: CHINA: Tibet Autonomous Region, Rikaze County, China – Nepal Friendship Bridge (29 ° 36 ’N, 91 °06’E), alt. 1800m, sweeping, 2 males, 14. vi. 1988, Chengyu Deng (BDN No. 1199, 07871). Diagnostic characters. The species can be separated from all other members of the genus by having 13 sensilla chaetica on ta 1 of P 3; humeral pit developed and reniform; the femur of middle and hind legs dark brown on apical 1 / 3, other parts yellow; setae on tergites relatively short, posterior of tergites V–VII in pale coloration; phallapodeme with two different colors, the deeper colored part like a fork with three tines; inferior volsella elongate and bilobed, with rounded apex, and superior volsella rounded and well developed; gonostylus slender, without distinct crista dorsalis. Correction to description (n = 3). “Gonostylus 225–285, 260 µm long” should be corrected to “Gonostylus 128–136, 132 µm long”. Distribution. The species was collected in subtropical area in Tibet Autonomous Region (Oriental China).Published as part of Fu, Yue, Saether, Ole A. & Wang, Xinhua, 2012, A review of Paratrichocladius Santos Abreu from the Sino-Indian Region (Diptera: Chironomidae: Orthocladiinae), pp. 453-482 in Zootaxa 3478 on pages 474-475, DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.20936

Letter from Wang Yi-fu to Frank Fu (November, 15, 1982)
This is a two-page letter from Wang Yi-fu, faculty member at the Beijing Institute of Physical Education (now Beijing Sport University), to Dr. Frank Fu, Director of the International Center at Springfield College, dated November 15, 1982. The letter thanks Springfield College and Springfield College professor Charles J. Smith for giving four lectures on Swimming theory and practice. Charlie Smith was the first Springfield College professor to come to Beijing Sport University as part of the exchange agreement signed by the two institutes in 1981.Beijing Sport University was organized and established as the Central Institute of Physical Education (sport) in 1953 with the help of Professor Xu Yingchao, Springfield College graduate of the class 1938. The name of the university changed to Peking (Beijing) Institute of Physical Culture (physical education) in 1956 and renamed Beijing Sports University in 1993. The first agreement signed by Springfield College and the Beijing Sport University was on September 25, 1981, which provided pathways for collaboration and exchange of faculty and students
Practical application of on-line partial discharge monitoring technique on 500kV shunt reactor
Considering the damage mechanism of oil-impregnated paper insulation in power transformers, shunt reactors and other high voltage electrical apparatus caused by partial discharge, a concept of “destructive partial discharge” is introduced in this paper. The intensity of this discharge is regarded as several thousands pico-coulomb (pC) and may cause the insulation a fatal damage. An oil-paper insulation is usually able to withstand this type of partial discharge for a period of time prior to failure. This provides engineers a time window to detect it. This paper describes an on-line partial discharge monitoring system for 500kV shunt reactors. The commission results from 3 single-phase shunt reactors either connected or disconnected to the grid showed that the on-line partial discharge detecting system has a high noise immunising ability. Two years later after the installation, a pre-warning signal was received from one shunt reactor indicating the existence of an intermittent discharge. The acoustic emission system located its position at the low end of the high voltage bushing in the oil. Dissolved gasses analysis (DGA) in the oil suggested the presence of partial discharge, as acetylene (C2H2) was as high as 20ppm. PD activity was further confirmed by a physical examination on the reactor

Corynoneura ecphora Fang & Wang & Fu 2014, sp. n.
Corynoneura ecphora sp. n. (Figs 1 A–G) Type material. Holotype male, P. R. CHINA: Guangdong Province, Guangzhou City, Conghua County, Wenquan Town, 16.i. 2011, H.Q.Tang (HBMY Type no.0001). Paratypes: 1 male as holotype (HBMY no.0002). Etymology. From Latin, ecphora, a projection in buildings, referring to sternapodeme with obvious oral projection. Diagnostic characters. The male imago is characterized by having an antenna with 11 flagellomeres, AR 0.38 – 0-39; superior volsella developed, like a collar with rounded corner; inferior volsella broad, with dented edge, placed caudally on gonocoxite; sternapodeme curved into U–shape, with developed oral projection, and lateral sternapodeme with caudal attachment point. Phallapodeme slightly curved, placed in caudal position of sternapodeme, gonostylus tapering.Published as part of Fang, Xiangliang, Wang, Xinhua & Fu, Yue, 2014, A New Species of Corynoneura Winnertz from Oriental China (Diptera: Chironomidae: Orthocladiinae), pp. 567-572 in Zootaxa 3884 (6) on page 568, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.3884.6.5, http://zenodo.org/record/22791
