    A black and white photograph of an architect's drawing for Grove Patterson Elementary School. The school, named for the Toledo Blade editor in chief, was built in 1951. The school closed in June of 1980 due to low enrollment. In 1993, the building was used to house the Horizon program for gifted students. In 1999, Toledo Public Schools opened the Grove Patterson Academy. The school building seen here was replaced in 2009 with a larger, more modern building. Photo was taken around 1951
