This article introduces the silhouette of Hindu activist Sunitha Krishan, has been strongly committed to the fight against sexual slavery in India for 20 years. It presents the circumstances of the fact that she started her business, initiatives which was undertaken by her and what was the results of her activities. In summary form the article presents stories that Krishnan has collected by seeing with victims – women and children. This text is largery based on online sources, articles published on the information portals, interviews with Krishnan and record during the conference with her participation. Udostępnienie publikacji Wydawnictwa Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego finansowane w ramach projektu „Doskonałość naukowa kluczem do doskonałości kształcenia”. Background: Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a major cause of mortality and morbidity. Per Cutaneous Interventions (PCI) is emerging as the mainstay of treatment for CAD. Periprocedural myocardial necrosis, which can range from a low-level elevation of cardiac biomarkers to a large myocardial infarction, is an important complication of PCI. There are conflicting reports regarding peri-procedural biomarker elevation and adverse outcome. It is in this context we have undertaken this study to assess the prognostic significance of cardiac troponin T elevation after elective stent implantation. Methods: The study population included 100 consecutive patients who underwent elective PCI with stent implantation in cardiology unit of Medical College, Trivandrum. Serial cardiac enzyme levels were measured in all patients undergoing the procedure. CPK was measured at 8 hrs, 16 hrs and 24 hrs and Troponin T was measured at 8hrs and 24 hrs. post PCI. In hospital events were documented and patients were on follow up for a period of 1 year. Primary endpoints of death, myocardial infarction, recurrent ischemia leading to revascularization were noted. Results: In our study population of 100 patients there were 87 males and 13 females. Among them 50% had unstable angina, 18% had exertional angina and 32% were post myocardial infarction patients. In this group of hundred patients 79% had single vessel disease, 18% had two vessels and 3% had triple vessel disease. A total of 103 stents were deployed. Mean CPK levels were CPK-1 (80.11+36.19), mean CPK-2 (83.91± 34.8) and mean CPK-3 (86.32+57.80). Mean Troponin T-1 was 0.04+0.1 and mean Troponin-2 was 0.06+0.145. In this study, we compared late onset angina with Troponin and CPK positivity and found that both Troponin-1 & Troponin-2 had significant correlation with late onset angina. Conclusions: Periprocedural Troponin T is more sensitive than CPK in predicting late events. Thrombus containing lesions and bifurcation lesions were significantly associated with elevation in Troponin T. No significant Troponin T elevations were noted in patients with diabetes mellitus and those containing calcified lesions. Drug eluting stents were associated with a relatively lesser Troponin T elevations but not statistically significant.</jats:p

A Study on Abstractive Summarization Techniques in Indian Languages

No full text
AbstractNatural Language Processing is a vast area which has great importance when people started to interpret human language from one form to another. Summarization is one of the research works in NLP which concentrates on providing meaningful summary using various NLP tools and techniques. Since huge amount of information is used across the digital world, it is highly essential to have automatic summarization techniques. Extractive and Abstractive summarization are the two summarization techniques available. A lot of research works are being carried out in this area especially in extractive summarization. Even though more works are carried out using extractive method, meaningful summary can be attained using abstractive summary techniques which make it more complex. In Indian languages, very few works are carried out in the field of abstractive summarization and there is high need for having research works being carried out in this area. Here, we are concentrating on the various techniques available for abstractive summarization and also try to explain the limited works currently available in abstractive summary field of Indian languages

A Study on Byzantine Fault Tolerance Methods in Distributed Networks

No full text
AbstractWith the evolution of new technologies, the growing reliance on networks has increased immensely. Such an advancement induces malicious attacks and software errors to occur frequently. Building robust network services that can tolerate a wide range of failure types is a fundamental problem in distributed systems. The most fundamental approach, called Byzantine fault tolerance, helps mask arbitrary failures exhibited by failing nodes. Here, the problem of reliably broadcasting messages in a mutli hop network is dealt, where some nodes are likely to fail. Most of the existing solutions require high network connectivity and these requirements become difficult to satisfy when the network grows large. In this paper, a study on various Byzantine fault tolerant methods has been carried out which has been developed and implemented by research experts in this field. These solutions are particularly customized to adapt to sparsely connected networks

AbstractSentiment analysis (SA) is an intellectual process of extricating user's feelings and emotions. It is one of the pursued field of Natural Language Processing (NLP). The evolution of Internet based applications has steered massive amount of personalized reviews for various related information on the Web. These reviews exist in different forms like social Medias, blogs, Wiki or forum websites. Both travelers and customers find the information in these reviews to be beneficial for their understanding and planning processes. The boom of search engines like Yahoo and Google has flooded users with copious amount of relevant reviews about specific destinations, which is still beyond human comprehension. Sentiment Analysis poses as a powerful tool for users to extract the needful information, as well as to aggregate the collective sentiments of the reviews. Several methods have come to the limelight in recent years for accomplishing this task. In this paper we compare the various techniques used for Sentiment Analysis by analyzing various methodologies
