    This letter dated February 19, 1947, from Bishop Vincent J. Ryan to United States Senator William Langer, expresses Ryan\u27s disapproval for the proposed lieu lands to the Indians of the Elbowoods Reservation as compensation for taking their land. Ryan argues that if flooding will destroy any opportunities for ranching, there must be adequate compensation for the loses.
