(A) STUDY ON RALPH VAUGHAN-WILLIAM'S CHORAL MUSIC THROUGH ANALYSIS OF THE MASS IN G MINOR
Ralph Vaughan-Williams
Ralhp Vaughan-Williams was the foremost English composer of the first half of the 20th century, and he composed a number of choral works, nine symphonies, other orchestral works, songs, operas, and music for films.
I have considered his choral music, centering research on an analysis, his of only mass composition, the Mass in G minor written in 1922.
I have sutdied his life in order to understand the composer integrated general characteristics of choral music through many books, scores and discs and researched his style and method of writing choral music by analysing the Mass in G minor.
As a result, I discovered that Vaughan-Williams was greatly influenced by English folk-songs and old English music from the Tudor period to that of Henry Purcell, especially the characteristics of Tudor period music, modality, false relationships, and polyphony.
And I conclude that Vaughan-Williams revived the English music tradition and combined it with modern elements in his choral music, especially the Mass in G minor.

Abstract: The effects of functionalizer chain length and water content were explored in a series of polyethylene/silica nanocomposites. Silane molecules with differing chain lengths (propyl, octyl and octadecyl) were used to vary the nanoparticle surface chemistry, while vacuum drying and water immersion were used to extract water from or add water to samples previously equilibrated under ambient conditions. Electrical conductivity was found to be highly dependent upon water content as were the space charge distributions. Both interfacial conditions and the overall charge transport through the sample were strongly dependent on absorbed water and, as such, were found to vary with time through exchange of water with the sample’s environment. Changes to charge transport dynamics due to the functionalizer chain length were, however, subtle. The removal of surface hydroxyl groups appears to be the primary mechanism by which functionalization influences electrical behavior; this reduces water uptake and, as a consequence, modifies charge transport behavior. </span
