Valuta inizialmente la fase di passaggio da metodi e prassi consolidate a nuove sollecitazioni determinate dalle trasformazioni dei modelli di produzione dell’informazione. Ci si sofferma poi sul tema della riconcettualizzazione dei linguaggi di dominio per passare infine a tratteggiare il concetto di meta catalogazione come possibile sintesi descrittiva.
The article deals with the themes of integration between the different cataloguing and disciplinary descriptive traditions. It initially evaluates the transition phase from methods to established practices up to the new solicitations caused by the transformations of information production models. Lastly, the paper focus on the theme of the reconceptualization of do-main languages to move on to outline the concept of metacataloguing as a possible descriptive synthesi

An attempt is also made to reflect on the consequences of the multiplication of potential producers and on the idea of democratization of history, with particular reference to the role of the archival discipline in these scenario
