No full textThe purpose of this thesis is to show the applicability of the Lean Thinking to the other activities of the value creation flow not only the production process, in this case the supply chain.
The first step of the research is the analysis of continuous improvement as one of Total Quality Management principles and how it is implemented by organizations through Lean Production meth-odology.
The second step is the initial study of the characteristics of supply chain and Supply Chain Man-agement in order to understand what aspects can be combined and improved with lean methods, and the final study of Lean Supply Chain.
The last phase is the presentation of a case study, a successful implementation of continuous im-provement in the supply function with the establishment of long-term relations with suppliers with the aim to eliminate waste connected with controls on materials supplied
