Genetic features of platinum-resistant ovarian cancer patients

Abstract
The authors try to decide a problem of ovarian cancer resistance to platinum drugs by the way of correlation finding between platinum-resistance of tumor and presence of gene mutations in the patient. It was shown a variety of options for BRCA gene mutations in patients with ovarian cancer: BRCA 1 (185delAG) - 64,2%, BRCA 1 (5382 insC) - 55,7%, and BRCA 2 (6174delT) - 53,8%. Authors discovered a significant positive correlation between carriage of mutations in the BRCA genes 1/2 and the sensitivity of malignant ovarian tumors to chemotherapy with platinum. Mutations in these genes occurred significantly more often in patients with platinum-sensitive ovarian cancer.

Оптимизация оказания специализированной медицинской помощи пациентам с новообразованиями челюстно-лицевой области на территории Пензенской области России
Recent years are characterized by the active development and advancement in clinical practice of the method of photodynamic therapy (PDT). PDT shows high effectiveness in the treatment of skin tumors, digestive, nervous, respiratory systems, in gynecology, ophthalmology. Antimicrobial PDT is successfully used in the treatment of purulent wounds and infectious diseases. One of the most actively developing applications of antitumor PDT is the treatment of maxillofacial tumors.The study assessed the organization of medical care for patients with malignancies of the maxillofacial region (MNMR) in the Penza region and the provision of oncologists, maxillofacial surgeons specializing in the treatment of tumor pathology. In the course of the study, the incidence of MNMR of the population of the Penza region and the gender and age structure were determined. The shortcomings of the organization of medical care for patients with MNMR are indicated.Последние годы характеризуются активным развитием и продвижением в клиническую практику метода фотодинамической терапии (ФДТ). ФДТ показывает высокую эффективность при лечении опухолей кожи, пищеварительной, нервной, дыхательной систем, в гинекологии, офтальмологии. Антимикробная ФДТ с успехом применяется в лечении гнойных ран и инфекционных заболеваний. Одно из наиболее активно развивающихся в настоящее время направлений применения противоопухолевой ФДТ – лечение опухолей челюстно-лицевой области.В исследовании проведена оценка организации медицинской помощи пациентам со злокачественными новообразованиями челюстно-лицевой области (ЗНО ЧЛО) в Пензенской области и обеспеченности региона врачами-онкологами, челюстно-лицевыми хирургами, специализирующимися на лечении опухолевой патологии. В ходе исследования определена заболеваемость ЗНО ЧЛО населения Пензенской области и половозрастная структура. Обозначены недостатки организации оказания медицинской помощи пациентам с ЗНО ЧЛО
ВОЗМОЖНОСТИ ПРИМЕНЕНИЯ ЛАКТОФЕРРИНА У ДЕТЕЙ ПЕРВОГО ГОДА ЖИЗНИ
The author summarizes the results of research of the antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties of multifunctional human protein — lactoferrin, in order to determine the prospects for its use in the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases of children in their first year of life. The mechanisms of anti-infectious effect of this protein with breastfed children have been described. Basic differences between human lactoferrin and cattle lactoferrin have been shown. Biotechnology of obtaining recombinant human lactoferrin from the milk of genetically engineered dairy animals (goat-producers) has been described. According to the studies, both by physical and chemical parameters and biological activity, human lactoferrin, obtained from milk-producing goats, corresponds to its natural counterpart.В статье обобщены результаты исследований, посвященных изучению антибактериальных, противовирусных и противогрибковых свойств многофункционального белка человека — лактоферрина, для определения перспектив его применения с целью профилактики и лечения инфекционной патологии у детей первого года жизни. Описаны механизмы противоинфекционного действия этого белка у детей, находящихся на грудном вскармливании. Показаны основные различия между лактоферрином человека и лактоферрином крупного рогатого скота. Описана биотехнология получения рекомбинантного лактоферрина человека из молока генно-инженерных молочных животных (коз-продуцентов). Согласно проведенным исследованиям, как по физико-химическим параметрам, так и по биологической активности лактоферрин человека, выделенный из молока коз-продуцентов, соответствует его природному аналогу
Хирургические и патоморфологические результаты тотальной мезоректумэктомии с применением методики водоструйной диссекции при раке прямой кишки
Background. The paper presents our own experience of using a waterjet dissector ERBEJET2® in the course of surgical interventions for colorectal cancer. This experience is unique for Russia.Materials and methods. Waterjet dissection method associated with total mesorectumectomy was used by us in 20 patients suffering from rectal cancer. An average age of patients was 59.2 ± 13.9 years. In all the patients surgeries were performed for adenogenic colorectal cancer, morphologically verified at the preoperative stage. Resected preparations were studied on morphological level. For comparison, two control groups of 20 patients were selected, in which the rectum mobilization was performed by using monopolar coagulator and harmonic scalpel. The studied groups were matched by gender, age, location and the tumor extent. All the surgeries were performed by one surgical team.Results. Results of the study demonstrated advantages of waterjet dissection when performing total mesorectumectomy due to a minimum depth of tissue damage on the lateral margin of resection.Conclusion. Waterjet dissectors have taken their place in the extensive list of tools used when performing surgical interventions for colorectal cancer, that allows to expect an improvement of functional and oncological results of the surgical treatment
