The Iranian population of P. jaehni (Divsalar et al. 2011) closely corresponds to the original description (Inserra et al. 2001). It is characterized by having a labial region with two annuli, lateral fields with four lines, longitudinal and interrupted striations present in central band, stylet≤ 15 µm, oval spermatheca filled with sperm, hemispherical tail with rounded terminus and precence of males. One slide collected from Mazandaran (Noshahr and Chalus city) was kindly sent by the authors and examined in present study. The Iranian population was determined to be close to P. l oo s i and P. coffeae. No full textHistoricamente o estabelecimento de Unidades de Conservação (UC’s), parte da política ambiental brasileira, se constituiu como uma face da relação conflituosa entre comunidades tradicionais camponesas e indígenas e a sociedade urbana-industrial. As UC’s foram implantadas, sobretudo a partir dos anos 1950, sobre territórios historicamente ocupados por populações tradicionais e originárias e passaram a ser mais um fator de transformação da territorialidade dessas comunidades, as quais já sofriam com o avanço da fronteira agrícola e com o projeto modernizante do período. A luta por terra e território, associada a uma parcela do movimento ambientalista, levou a conquista de alguns direitos, inclusive o acesso a terra, por meio da instituição de UC’s de uso sustentável. Entretanto, a politica ambiental vem sendo utilizada para resolver questões territoriais e por isso tem se colocado como mediadora das territorialidades de comunidades camponesas. No presente artigo discutimos como o estabelecimento UC’s tende a substituir as políticas agrárias, analisando as contradições que emergem da mediação do acesso ao território tradicional pela conservação ambiental e defendemos que esta tendência vem se constituindo, ao mesmo tempo, em uma estratégia para a manutenção da estrutura agrária brasileira.
