Les monnayages d’Amédée V comte de Savoie (1285-1323)
No full textAccording to the reference books, the coinage of Count of Savoy Amedeus Vth is composed with only nine types. As we started studying the whole coinage of the kingdom of Arles between Carolingian era and the beginning of the XIVth century, we finally came to consider counts of Savoy’s coinage and especially those of Amedeus V. Studying regional context and coinages finally led us to thinking that the classification of Amadeus’s coinage should be revised. This article proposes some new orientations and perspectives.Le monnayage du comte de Savoie Amédée V (1285-1323), si l’on se réfère aux ouvrages les plus récents notamment ceux de Sergio Cudazzo et d’Elio Biaggi, ne comporterait que neuf types. La reprise de l’étude de l’ensemble des monnayages émis dans le royaume de Bourgogne-Provence, ou royaume d’Arles, entre les Carolingiens et le début du XIVe siècle nous a naturellement amené à nous intéresser au monnayage des comtes de Savoie, et en particulier à celui d’Amédée V. Le contexte régional, les comparaisons avec les autres monnayages et la documentation contemporaine nous ont convaincu qu’une mise à jour de ce classement s’imposait. Angstvallig werd hij door bestuurders weggestopt om eventuele politieke schade te beperken. Donderdag 26 september was het dan zover. DG and MUSCL approaches: Comparison of some recent variants
No full textIn this preliminary study, we compare the behavior of two classical numerical approaches in compressible fluid dynamics , the MUSCL and the Discontinuous Galerkin (DG) method, applied to aeroacoustics and vortex computation, these two fields being related as noise is often produced from vortex fluctuations. The calculation of the unsteady effects with a minimum of dissipation and numerical dispersion is then of primary importance and it is necessary to re-examine, accordingly, these methods and their multiple variants which often were established and validated for steady flows with strong discontinuities (cf. [1] or [2] for example); in addition, these methods were recently the object of important improvements (cf. for example [3], [4], [5], [6]) which must be integrated and tested. As we are interested here only in propagation problems, we will neglect the viscous effects

A generalized patch AMR platform that uses cell centered or cell vertex solvers
No full textA patch adaptive mesh refinement (AMR) platform is presented. Presently two Navier-Stokes solvers are available within this platform : a MUSCL and DG solver (FLUX AMR) and a multi-species MUSCL solver (MAJIC) for reacting flows. The first solver is based on cell centered approaches of finite volume type, the second solver is based on a cell vertex and a time splitting method. The modifications of AMR treatments, especially those concerning the interpolation at fine-coarse boundaries are detailed. This platform is first tested on the subsonic flow over a deep cavity and secondly on the interaction of a steady planar shock with a H2-air circular diffusion flame
