No full textIn questo articolo, vorrei dare un resoconto abbastanza particolareggiato della risposta critica di don Tosato a von Mises, per poi passare a fare qualche riflessione su alcuni problemi che si pongono non nel tentativo di riconciliare l’etica cristiana con il mercato, il compito assuntosi da don Tosato, ma nella concezione di un’etica economica cristiana, che, come don Tosato sarebbe stato il primo ad ammettere, le sue ricerche lasciano aperti. Nella sezione 2, espongo i termini generali del tema dibattuto da Mises e Tosato, l’incompatibilità o meno di cristianesimo ed economia. No full textHere the problem of a correct prediction of transient pressures and pulsations in reciprocating compressors is considered, with a particular approach to connecting pipes. The possibility of employing the method of characteristics for gas flow is well known for ideal flows. I am using for real flows a numerical solution method which, in comparison with other mesh methods, decreases the mathematical errors of smearing because the influence of linear interpolations is much less than these mesh methods.
I suggest dividing pipes in three sections:
- the sections at the right and left ends have to be very short (only one cell) and mesh methods are used to apply the boundary conditions;
- the intermediate section is the longest part (more cells) and uses a modified inverse method which makes linear interpolations to determine Dl, Db and DAA along characteristic lines. Linear interpolations are not used to determine l, b and AA at initial points of characteristic lines

No full textThe present study, conducted in a first-episode psychotic sample, aims totest whether substance misuse, particularly cannabis use 1) is more frequent in patients than the general population, 2) is associated with a higher level of positive symptoms, a lower level of depressive symptoms and a worse premorbid adjustment atthe onset, 3) is associated with an earlier age of onset and a better premorbid IQ.
