    The use of Bluetooth Beacons in Maritime Emergencies Mobile safety and security - DigLogs pilot project by University of Trieste

    The aim of this paper is to research and describe how the use of mobile technologies can help in reducing the time required for the ship evacuation and abandonment procedures, as it was identified within the scope of 2014 - 2020 Interreg V-A Italy - Croatia CBC Programme “Digitalising Logistics processes - DIGLOGS” project. Furthermore, main findings and opportunities for proving technical feasibility will be identified and presented along with a carefully selected and envisaged test scenario chosen to compare the standard evacuation time with the one related to the adoption of the mobile technologies, the final goal being the streamlined evacuation procedures, and the increase of the ship's security and target group stakeholders' satisfaction

    Ovaj diplomski rad na temu Upravljanje ljudskim resursima u pomorskom prijevozu donosi prikaz važnosti i ulogu upravljanja ljudskim resursima kao glavnoj zadaći menadžmenta pojedinog poduzeća pa tako i pomorskog. Upravljanje ljudskim resursima obuhvaća oblikovanja i usmjeravanja ljudskog znanja kao i sposobnosti te volje zaposlenika prema zahtjevima koji proizlaze iz ciljeva organizacije. Uloga i važnost upravljanja ljudskim resursima prikazana je na primjeru pomorskih poduzeća koja čine sastavni dio najzastupljenijeg i danas jednog od najjeftinijih oblika prijevoza. Pomorska poduzeća teško će preživjeti bez upravljanja ljudskim resursima, s obzirom na to da se danas suočavaju s mnogim izazovima dok posluju na globalnom tržištu, a upravljanje je ključno za uredno prilagođavanje njihovom poslovnom okruženju. Također je prikazan utjecaj suvremene tehnologije koja je danas sveprisutna u pomorstvu. Potrebno je istaknuti kako primjena suvremen tehnologije u pomorstvu ima svoje dobre i loše strane. U ovom diplomskom radu autorica je primijenila metodologiju znanstveno istraživačkog rada i koristila literaturu koja je navedena na kraju završnog rada.This graduate thesis on Human Resources Management in martime companys´s brings out an account of the importance and role of human resource management as the main task of the management of an enterprise as well as maritime. Human Resource Management involves designing and directing human knowledge as well as the ability and willingness of employees to meet the demands of the organization's goals. The role and importance of human resource management is illustrated by the example of maritime companies that make up the most common and today one of the cheapest forms of transportation. Maritime companies will hardly survive without human resources management, given that they face many challenges while doing business in the global market, and management is crucial for neat adjustment to their business environment. It also shows the influence of modern technology that is all present in maritime affairs today. It should be noted that the application of modern technology in maritime affairs has its own good and bad sides. In this graduate thesis the author applied the methodology of scientific research work and used the literature that was listed at the end of the final work

    Najvrjednija imovina, odnosno temelj bilo koje organizacije je čovjek. Uspješno poslovanje svake organizacije počiva na pronalasku optimalne kombinacije materijalnih i nematerijalnih poticaja za svoje zaposlenike. Motivirani zaposlenici su zaposlenici koji postižu veću radnu učinkovitost, a samim time i uspješnost cjelokupne organizacije. Svrha ovog rada je objasniti značaj razvoja upravljanja ljudskim potencijalima s naglaskom na procjenu radne učinkovitosti, nagrađivanje i motivaciju. Kroz rad je prikazano koliko je važno provođenje sustava procjene radnog učinka, nagrađivanja i motivacije kako za zaposlenike tako i za organizaciju. Zaposlenici su jezgra svake organizacije i zato je neophodno ulaganje i vrednovanje njihovog znanja. Rad prati istraživanje provedeno na temelju anketnog upitnika koji se odnosi na zadovoljstvo i motivaciju zaposlenika u mikro i malim poduzećima.The most valuable asset or foundation of any organization is a person. The successful business of each organization rests on the optimum combination of material and immaterial incentives for its employees. Motivated employees are employees who achieve greater efficiency, and thus the overall organization's performance. The purpose of this paper is to explain the importance of human resource management development with an emphasis on evaluation of work efficiency, reward and motivation. Throughout the work, it is shown how important it is to carry out a system of assessment of performance, reward and motivation both for employees and for the organization. Employees are the core of each organization and therefore it is imperative to invest and evaluate their knowledge. The paper follows a research based on a survey questionnaire related to the satisfaction and motivation of employees in micro and small companies

    Ovim se radom pobliže istražuje značaj i uloga elektroničke razmjene podataka u lučkim klasterima, uz usporedbu svjetskih luka s lukama RH. Uspješnost lučkih klastera očituje se u uzajamnoj suradnji dionika i kvalitetnom modelu upravljanja. Poseban značaj standardizacije u pomorskom prometu te implementacije lučkih informacijskih tehnologija manifestira se kroz sigurnije, jednostavnije i učinkovitije lučko poslovanje s naglaskom na važnost uporabe PCS sustava i jedinstvenog pomorskog sučelja (MSW). Objašnjeni su Hrvatski integrirani pomorski informacijski sustav (CIMIS) i e-Carina te prednosti razvoja i implementacije PCS sustava kroz nadolazeću digitalizaciju hrvatskih luka radi poboljšanja organizacije i protoka informacija među dionicima, u konačnici s ciljem povećanja konkurentnosti hrvatskih luka. Kroz primjere elektroničke razmjene podataka u vodećim svjetskim lukama potvrđena je važnost ulaganja u razvoj i usavršavanje informacijsko-komunikacijskih tehnologija.This thesis explores the importance and role of electronic data exchange in port clusters, with a comparison of global ports with Croatian ports. The success of port clusters is reflected in the cooperation of stakeholders and a quality management model. The special significance of standardization and the implementation of port information technologies is manifested through safe, simple and efficient port operations with the importance of using the PCS and a maritime single window (MSW). The Croatian Integrated Maritime Information System (CIMIS) and e-Customs are explained, as well as the advantages of developing PCS through the upcoming digitalization of Croatian ports with the aim of increasing Croatian ports' competitiveness. Provided examples of electronic data exchange in the world's leading ports confirm the importance of investing in the development of information communication technologies

    U ovom radu obradit će se tematika pametnih i autonomnih vozila te njihova primjena u prometu. Analizirat će se tehnologije u današnjim automobilima te tehnologije koje će pridonijeti sve većoj automatizaciji vozila u budućnosti. U radu se nastoji ukazati na važnost automatizacije u prometu, ali i ograničenja koja je potrebno regulirati. Analiziran je potencijal uvođenja autonomnih vozila i implementacije s inteligentnim transportnim sustavima te su na kraju navedeni uspješni primjeri autonomnih vozila i njihove primjene.This paper will deal with the topic of smart and autonomous vehicles and their application in traffic. The technologies in today's vehicles will be analyzed, as well as the technologies that will contribute to the increasing automation of vehicles in the future. The paper tries to point out the importance of automation in traffic, but also the limitations that need to be regulated. The potential of the introduction of autonomous vehicles and implementation with intelligent transport systems is analyzed, and finally successful examples of autonomous vehicles and their applications are given

To je moderni integrirani i distribuirani upravljački sustav kojim se izvode glavne operacije i funkcije bušenja i osigurava pravilno funkcioniranje bušaćih operacija, te sigurnost operatera i cjelokupnog postrojenja. Uvodno je dan kratki pregled teorije bušaćih postrojenja te njihovog povijesnog razvoja. Nadalje, u razradi teme opisane su osnovne značajke automatiziranog bušaćeg sustava, njegove funkcije, postavke i navigacija kroz sustav.In this final paper, the Cyberbase control system is introduced as the basis of information technology on modern drilling platforms. It is a modern integrated and distributed control system that performs major drilling operations and functions and ensures the proper functioning of drilling operations, as well as the safety of the operator and the entire facility. The introduction gives a brief overview of the theory of wells and their historical development. Furthermore, the topic of the subject describes the basic features of an automated drilling system, its functions, settings and navigation through the system

    U ovom završnom radu opisan je nadzor pomorske plovidbe primjenom informacijskih tehnologija od začetaka, kada tehnologija nije bila razvijena u mjeri u kojoj je danas, do današnjice kada se koriste razne tehnologije kako bi nadzor plovidbe bio što efikasniji i sigurniji. Objašnjavajući važnost konvencija vezanih za sigurnost i nadzor plovidbe, radara, radio komunikacije, elektroničkog prikaza pomorskih karata, sustava za praćenje brodova te mnogih drugih elemenata, koji su pomorski promet učinili uspješnim i sigurnim kao što je danas, pokušava se istaknuti važnost informacijskih tehnologija, nadzora pomorske plovidbe i njene sigurnosti. Predstavlja se budućnost pomorske plovidbe ističući autonomne brodove kao bližu budućnost koja će promijeniti pomorstvo kakvo je danas poznato.In this final work it is described survey of maritime navigation using information technologies from the beginning, when technology has not been developed as it is today, to the present when various technologies are used to make survey as efficient and secure as possible. Explaining the importance of conventions related to safety and control of navigation, radars, radio communication, electronic display of nautical charts, ship tracking systems and many other elements, that have made maritime transport more successful and safer as it is today, an attempt is made to emphasize the importance of information technology, survey of maritime navigation and its safety. The future of maritime navigation is presented emphasizing autonomous ships as the near future which will change maritime as it is known today

Kroz analizu logistike i koncepta pametnih automobila, rad se bavi razinama autonomije te upravljačkim sustavima kao što su 5G mreža i V2X tehnologija. Također se razmatraju prednosti i nedostaci autonomnih vozila, uključujući sigurnosne aspekte, efikasnost i tehnološke izazove. Proučeni su i primjeri autonomnih vozila, s naglaskom na Tesla i Waymo, kao i primjena autonomnih autobusa u modernom prometu.This paper explores the integration of smart vehicles into logistics systems, with a focus on autonomous vehicles. Through the analysis of logistics and the concept of smart cars, the paper addresses levels of autonomy and control systems such as 5G networks and V2X technology. It also examines the advantages and disadvantages of autonomous vehicles, including safety aspects, efficiency, and technological challenges. Examples of autonomous vehicles are studied, with a focus on Tesla and Waymo, as well as the application of autonomous buses in modern transportation
