Thompson Mansion at Brookdale Farm Now Thompson Park
This 18th-century farm to 19th-century horse estate has been transferred to a public pary by its owner Geraldine Livingston Morgan Thompson. Ms. Thompson was active for many years in the state�s Republican Party, and, in 1923, became the first female New Jersey delegate to a Republican National Convention. She shared a great many social welfare interests with her lifelong friend Eleanor Roosevelt, who visited Brookdale Farm on several occasions. The House was built in 1896 as the Thompson family residence, It was destroyed by a fire on February 6, 2006.Original file name 553 Thompson Park,.jp

Photograph of the marker for the Thompson House in Denison, Texas. Text: Built by Judge James G. Thompson in the early 1840's on the south bank of Red River at Preston Road. In 1942 it was bought by Ms. Nellie Chambers and moved east of Denison to save it from the advancing waters of the newly formed Lake Texoma. Upon her death, her heirs donated the home to the village. It was moved to its present location and restored in 1986
