Many Lives, One Story: The Gesta sanctorum Rotensium and the Making of Redon
This article takes a fresh look at the composition of the Gesta sanctorum Rotonensium (Deeds of the Saints of Redon), a late 9th-century monastic narrative which tells of the foundation of Redon, in the south-east of present-day Brittany. This story is exceptional because not just the abbot but the entire first generation of monks is lauded for their sanctity and their contribution towards building a community. I will argue that the author, rather than presenting these lives as examples for subsequent generation of monks to follow, intended for these vignettes to serve as a confirmation of the sanctity of the community as a whole. The series of biographies that form the first part of the GSR show that Redon, in the eyes of the author of the GSR, was a place where an individual’s holiness could come to full fruition – not because that was a given, but because of the fact that members of the community always helped their brethren become the best version of themselves, both during their lifetime and especially in the close examination of their lives after death

Odilon Redon and the Pasteurian revolution: Health, illness, and le monde invisible
Odilon Redon's dark-spirited charcoals and lithographs of the last quarter of the nineteenth century responded to developments in science, including the Pasteurian revolution. Rather than celebrating the progressive potential of science, Redon's noirs engaged national anxieties that attended scientific advances. His position was close to the Decadents of the 1880s who dwelled on themes of illness and decay While the artist's original biographer Andre Mellerio referred to the artist's fascination with Pasteur and his microbial world, where in a single drop of water "there arises the spectacle of giants of a gripping horror and a frightfol, predatory nature," the topic has virtually disappeared from Redon literature. By recovering the scientific/medical issues that stimulated Redon's creation, this article restores the subjects of pathogenic organisms and contagious illness to their rightful place in Redon's oeuvre. Further, it provides the reader with a discussion of the cultural context in which Redon's interest was generated.final article publishedJournal Articl
La motte du Mourrel à Molleville et la motte du Puy Redon à Laurac (Aude)
Since 1981, the moated sites of Mourrel and of Puy-Redon hâve formed the subject of a study including a range of methods of research which are compiementary . The various ascertainments already noted, enable to consider some hypothesis of work for a better knowledge of moated site of Lauragais. The author here shows the common points between these two sites especially concerning the morphology and the situation in the landscape of these two moated sites. In the same way, in spite of limited arhaeological bore holes, we notice a similarity in the type of structures and ceramics found.
Dauzat Michel. A New Public Bath in Trimithis (Amheida, Dakhla Oasis)

The building is in mud and baked bricks and was abandoned while it was under restoration. A mosaic floor was in preparation. The bath was originally part of a larger Thermae of the Roman Imperial Period, abandoned at the end if the 3rd century AD. This large building was dismantled, but a part of survived and was adapted to Late Antique usage
