Delta type robot will play chess according to the commands sent via vision software. In our system, we have tested for 2 different chess opening scenarios and DOF checking mode scenario, then we obtained results. Hence we propose an integration between Kinect hand gestures and V-REP simulation

Challenges in promoting cities through culture within the new global economy

Urban industry was replaced by service sectors like marketing, finance and communication in this period. The new circumstances not only have changed the urban economy, but also images of the cities. The new image has raised the urban regeneration projects in partnership with municipalities and private organizations. The local governments and the private sectors have handled culture as a power to regenerate the images of cities. City branding based on culture is encouraged mostly by tourism. In this chapter, the role of culture in the city promoting strategies is evaluated through the analysis of cases. The stakeholders' approaches to the culture in the context of city branding strategies are handled and the challenges that the stakeholders have to overcome are listed

The results are shown in this paper. To formulate the dance, a modified Labanotation software has been developed, and a user-friendly human-machine interface is designed to enable the user to program the robot easily. The system is incorporated with a music analyzer, employing Fast Fourier Transform, to track the beats. The robot dances in synchrony with the input from the music analyzer. Experiments are done on a six degree-of-freedom industrial robot

A user-friendly program was designed to help design dance choreography. The program, LabanRobot, has a simple interface that can be used without any prior knowledge of the robot. The choreographer should keep geometry in mind and plan the dance sequence accordingly. The conversion of dance sequences to robot motion is done automatically by the program. Details of the algorithm are given. Examples of simulation and on-stage-performance are shown

No full textHocaoğlu, Dilek (Dogus Author)Ülkemizdeki kurum kimliği ile ilgili çalışmaların bilinçli bir şekilde ele alınması 90’ lı yıllara değinmektedir. Ancak Osmanlı Döneminde yabancı sermayedarların girişimiyle kurulan birçok kuruluşta, (Devlet Demir yolları, Devlet Deniz yolları İşletmesi, Petrol Ofisi, Osmanlı Bankası, vb.), çeşitli çalışmalara rastlanmaktadır. Cumhuriyetin ilanıyla birlikte yeniden düzenlemeler yapılarak bu kuruluşlar Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’ nin bünyesi altında yeni birer kurum kimliğine bürünmüşlerdir. Yine de tam anlamıyla tepeden tırnağa bir çalışma daha çok 90’ lı yıllarda meydana gelmiştir. Bu da oluşan çeşitli ekonomik olaylar, özelleştirmeler ve de rekabetler sonucu oluşmuştur. Türkiye’ nin önemli isimlerinden Koç ailesi tarafından kurulan beyaz eşya firması Arçelik de Cumhuriyet sonrası kurulmuş ve geçtiğimiz yıllarda da kurum kimliği çalışmalarıyla kendisini yenilemiştir. Müşteri sadakatinin önemli bir yer tuttuğu firmanın imajı gerek reklamları, gerekse logosundaki yenilikle yeni nesile de hitap ederek genç nüfusta da bir marka sadakati oluşturmaya çalışmaktadır
