The article is devoted to the analysis of political education of students. The experience of studying the peculiarities of political education in Germany during the joint seminar devoted to the analysis of democratic processes in Germany and Russia is given. The tasks of social and political education of the future teacher are determined. Three interrelated problems are formulated. The first is the formation of a civic position (education solves state problems here), and secondly, it is the formation of a culture of democratic behavior (this is more important for social activity), and the third task relates to the personal significance of political education. The article defines the content of political education, which is formed primarily from the heritage of culture and science. In transforming Russia, when the values of the previous stage of development are rejected, this problem has become the most difficult. There has been a need for a new social and cultural paradigm, the fullness of education with new content. But for the stability of the social system, it is necessary that each generation inherits at least the basic social and cultural values of previous generations, of universal significance shared by most people. The article explores the social and cultural foundations of modern political education, where the notion of social justice, polyphonic thinking and tolerance occupy a special place. Particular attention is paid to the formation of a tolerant personality. The article analyzes the possibilities of applying the project activity in the preparation of the future teacher, in the formation of both professional and personal qualities. The author of the article, based on his personal experience with working with students, showed that limiting the study of a political science subject only to its content side, without including students in active work, significantly reduces students' interest in the subject. The inclusion of students in active cognitive activity through the method of projects helps informed and interested acquisition of new knowledge, allows to form such competencies as informational, communicative, creative

The research is a Ph. D. thesis in Law (specialty 12.00.08 — Criminal Law and Criminology; Criminal Correctional law. — Odessa National Academy of Law, Odessa, 2007). The thesis represents a complex scientific research of the problems of the criminal and legal characteristics of illegal felling based upon the practice of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The author of the thesis has conducted a historical and legal analysis thus revealing the factors that influence the development of the forest regulation as well as the norms of criminal responsibility for illegal felling among other forest regulation infringements. The research of the aforementioned illicit act as an ecological crime along with the peculiarities of its corpus delicti has enabled the author to define the concept of illegal felling. O. V. Skvortsova has analyzed a number of circumstances that eliminate the criminal context in an act of illegal felling (in consideration of extreme need, fulfillment of an order, a deed that involved risk) thus providing legal grounds for releasing a person from criminal responsibility for the act. Upon a comprehensive analysis of the issues discussed in the thesis, its author puts forward a number of propositions regarding possible amendments to article 246 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine

Urban planning in the spatiotemporal domain (philosophical aspect)

The author proposes a historical and philosophical approach to the problem of correlation between the life activity and the urban environment. Urban planning and development demonstrate different features in different historical epochs. Intensive growth of cities and their population cause us to use philosophical terms, such as motion, time and space. These are the basic terms of the town planning practice. In the ancient world, urban planning absorbed philosophical ideas and ideas of the nascent science. Aristotle defines motion as transition from possibility to reality. Architectural and engineering solutions integrate the notion of space into the town planning and demonstrate aspiration into the future and its desired perfection.Architecture is most philosophical constituent of the town planning practice. Architecture implements the ideas of town planning through the principles of steadiness, statics, tectonics, representation of structures in artistic figures, and constituent elements of motion as a conception of time.Motion and duration of events and phenomena are the measure of time. Mathematics concretizes the essence of space, defines spatial notions of point, line, segment, plane, and volume. The end of the 20th century brought abrupt changes in town planning. It depended on intensive advancements in science and technology, spontaneous expansion of cities and emergence of new spatial forms for the humankind. In modern architecture, there is a need for new methods of town building. Spiritual values became relevant. Now the urban environment is to embody new values. There is a need for special qualities of the urban building: the urban environment should take account of psychosocial, visual and behavioral aspects of perception of spatial objects. The most important factor is the human one. These ideas constitute the spirit of time; they must have some aesthetic content, so that people could be proud of their houses, localities and towns. The works ofEuropean architect James Frazer serve as the example of this point of view.

Food anticipatory hormonal responses: A systematic review of animal and human studies

Food anticipatory hormonal responses (cephalic responses) are proactive physiological processes, that allow animals to prepare for food ingestion by modulating their hormonal levels in response to food cues. This process is important for digesting food, metabolizing nutrients and maintaining glucose levels within homeostasis. In this systematic review, we summarize the evidence from animal and human research on cephalic responses. Thirty-six animal and fifty-three human studies were included. The majority (88 %) of studies demonstrated that hormonal levels are changed in response to cues previously associated with food intake, such as feeding time, smell, and sight of food. Most evidence comes from studies on insulin, ghrelin, pancreatic polypeptide, glucagon, and c-peptide. Moreover, impaired cephalic responses were found in disorders related to metabolism and food intake such as diabetes, pancreatic insufficiency, obesity, and eating disorders, which opens discussions about the etiological mechanisms of these disorders as well as on potential therapeutic opportunities.Applied Ergonomics and DesignHR Healt
