Aset ini penting dalam memastikan masyarakat yang lahir adalah masyarakat yang mampu memberi sumbangan kemajuan kepada sesebuah negara. Kemajuan ini mencakupi semua aspek sama ada aspek rohaniah dan lahiriah. Objektif kertas kerja ini dibuat ialah bagi membincangkan sumbangan 25 orang tokoh dalam pelbagai yang boleh dianggap sebagai penyuntik dalam melahirkan modal insan rakyat Malaysia. Semua tokoh yang diutarakan ini memberi banyak sumbangan dan jasa  kepada agama bangsa dan negara. Sumbangan yang diberikan termasuklah dalam bidang kesusasteraan, media massa dan pembangunan politik. Nilai-nilai murni melalui deskripsi yang diberikan tentang setiap tokoh mampu membantu dalam pembinaan modal insan rakyat khususnya golongan muda. Insan yang terbangun jiwanya haruslah berlandaskan nilai-nilai murni seterusnya membantu membangunkan peradaban manusia.&#x0D; </jats:p

    Supply chain integration challenges in project procurement in Malaysia: IBS contractors' perspective

    The Malaysian Construction Industry Master Plan (CIMP 2006-2015) identified the innovative approaches of Industrialised Building Systems (IBS) and its supply chains as having important roles in improving the productivity and quality of construction processes. However, the fragmented scenario in the construction industry leaves the IBS supply chain players with noticeable difficulties in terms of competitiveness and efficiency. Supply chains in IBS involve relationships between many organisations and processes, with the evolution of many specialised roles and embedded relationships. The procurement method is utilised as a mediator tool and as the means of controlling integration between players. Although efforts have been undertaken to enhance the IBS practice in Malaysia, various integration challenges have risen from amongst the IBS players. The purpose of the research is to identify the challenges of IBS supply chain integration with regard to existing project procurements. The methodologies involved a thorough review of literature and the qualitative method of using semi-structured interviews which were conducted amongst IBS contractors in Malaysia. The findings reveal role and responsibility, understanding the knowledge, risk liability, financial and contract matters and attitude and relationship are the challenge factors that hinder the successful integration between the contractor and other related parties. Such issues require much attention in pursuance of greater integration within the supply chains in the Malaysian construction project

    Vehicle routing with shortest path system based Floyd Warshall Technique

    Vehicle routing plays an important role in courier industry. Problems normally occur during delivery process specifically in determine the receiver. From the practical point of view, solving this problem and have a good routing procedure can save the industry millions of dollars per year through cost-effective movement and delivery of goods. In addition, effective routing can increase productivity, improve operations and make the job of dispatching easier. This project was to develop a system that capable to determine the vehicle route by implementing the traditional method, Floyd Warshall. This system focus on area in a city in Penang and consider 46 locations as the case study. The system was developed in windows XP environment and the interface development developed by using Macromedia Dreamweaver 2004. Its database used Microsoft SQL server. This system was capable to give travel distance, and determine the sequence of location for goods delivery with the shortest path. The system has been tested for a currier company in Malaysia

    Development of solid modeler: a review on the representation and 3D reconstruction

    Originally, technical drawings were made by hand using technical drawing board. The rise of advanced computer graphics leads to the replacement of drawing board by solid modeler software. The development of three-dimensional (3D) solid modeler involves visualization technology for the viewing and manipulation of 3D models, sources of images, techniques for 3D representations and reconstruction, point set and operations. This paper focuses on the discussion of representation and 3D reconstruction. Few techniques for representations and D reconstruction have been introduced by some researchers which are related to mathematical modeling and artificial intelligence (AI) approach. They are constructive solid geometry, boundary representation, spatial decomposition, simple affine transformation and others which are used for representation. Meanwhile line labeling, gradient space, linear system, interactive method, analytical heuristic, back propagation algorithm for function approximation, genetic algorithm approach and others are used for 3D reconstruction. Discussion on these issues leads to the conclusion that there are only a few researches done on the representation and D reconstruction that deployed AI techniques in the solid modeler engine.
