This paper represents an early attempt to model quantum collapse within the EiG (Energy–information Gradient) framework. While the formulation was internally consistent, I have since identified key flaws in the simulation methodology—particularly in how photon dynamics were represented across discernibility gradients.
As a result, the core conclusion of this manuscript is no longer considered valid. However, the process of developing and testing this model directly led to several foundational insights now informing an updated field theory of light, discernibility, and time—Now available here: https://osf.io/uwn2e
I’ve chosen to leave this paper online as part of an open research process. Future readers should interpret it as an early step in an ongoing effort to model physical reality from first principles under the EiG framework.

Assessing the George W. Bush Presidency: A Tale of Two Terms

Environmental variables affect fungal diversity on blueberry (Vaccinium spp.) leaf surfaces:
The economically important blueberry, Vaccinium cyanococcus, is susceptible to a number of diseases, some of which are propagated by fungi living on the leaf surface. The leaf surface (phylloplane) is a cryptic environment that harbors a variety of pathogens and pathogen antagonists, and these populations are affected by many factors including weather, season, host plant location and leaf phenology. Blueberry leaves were collected in April, June, August, and October over two years from bushes in wild areas and cultivated farms along transects perpendicular to the Atlantic City Expressway, to address the hypothesis that pollution from a major highway would influence phylloplane communities. Leaves were washed and plated on potato dextrose agar, and fungal epiphytes were identified using taxonomic keys and microscopy. Epicoccum spp., Alternaria spp., Pennicilium spp., and Curvularia spp. were the most ubiquitous fungi isolated from blueberry leaves. Community structure and species richness changed from site-to-site and month-to-month and from year-to-year. The influence of highway proximity to fungal communities was not significant. Management practices in cultivated sites accounted for much of the variation in species richness and community composition among sites. Leaf age also influenced the community structure of phylloplane fungi communities. Leaves collected in April had significantly lower species richness than those collect in later months (F=19.37, P<0.0001). Yearly differences in species richness and community structure were likely due to differences in meteorological variables. Greater information provided by frequency of occurrence of fungal species would lead to a more informative multivariate analysis as presence or absence would be weighted by abundance, allowing for interpretations of dominance and more detailed analysis of phylloplane fungal communities.M.S.Includes bibliographical references (p. 25-27)by Jason Stanwoo

This phenomenon is evident in northern Manhattan where the Trans-Manhattan Expressway has imposed profound divisions within the dense urban community of Washington Heights. Supporting a population of over one-hundred thousand, in 0.7 square miles, Washington Heights is one of the densest residential communities in Manhattan. Within this dense community no identifiable civic centers exist. However, the convergence of infrastructure and urbanism has the potential to synthesis new opportunities. This contemporary paradigm morphs existing infrastructure with new user-friendly architectural systems. This hybridization can alleviate the current asphyxiation associated with urban infrastructure, while transforming infrastructure to serve as a catalyst for urban life. This thesis seeks to readapt the Trans-Manhattan Expressway for public use through two strategic interventions. The first seeks to reclaim the colossal George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal from impervious infrastructure to central civic icon. The second transforms a series of urban impediments which produce excess noise and pollution, into a public plaza. While these two projects address the independent conditions of each site, together they simultaneously transform a desolate lineage of urban infrastructure into the central civic icon of Washington Heights.by Jason F. DNA fusion gene vaccination mobilizes effective anti-leukemic cytotoxic T lymphocytes from a tolerized repertoire
The majority of known human tumor-associated antigens derive from non-mutated self proteins. T cell tolerance, essential to prevent autoimmunity, must therefore be cautiously circumvented to generate cytotoxic T cell responses against these targets. Our strategy uses DNA fusion vaccines to activate high levels of peptide-specific CTL. Key foreign sequences from tetanus toxin activate tolerance-breaking CD4+ T cell help. Candidate MHC class Ibinding tumor peptide sequences are fused to the C terminus for optimal processing and presentation. To model performance against a leukemia-associated antigen in a tolerized setting, we constructed a fusion vaccine encoding an immunodominant CTL epitopederived from Friend murine leukemia virus gag protein (FMuLVgag) and vaccinated tolerant FMuLVgag-transgenic (gag-Tg) mice. Vaccination with the construct induced epitopespecificIFN-c-producing CD8+ T cells in normal and gag-Tg mice. The frequency and avidity of activated cells were reduced in gag-Tg mice, and no autoimmune injury resulted. However, these CD8+ T cells did exhibit gag-specific cytotoxicity in vitro and in vivo. Also, epitope-specific CTL killed FBL-3 leukemia cells expressing endogenous FMuLVgag antigen and protected against leukemia challenge in vivo. These results demonstrate a simple strategy to engage anti-microbial T cell help to activate epitope-specific polyclonal CD8+ T cell responses from a residual tolerized repertoire
Investigation of the gap vortex street in densely packed tube arrays in axial flow using CFD and experiments
Axial flow in tube bundles with small pitch-to-diameter ratio, a geometry encountered in nuclear reactor cores and heat exchangers, often displays periodic fluctuations. A significant velocity discrepancy between the inter-cylinder gap and subchannel center originates from the difference in through-flow area, feeding an instability. As it is associated with velocity-shear, it is similar to the Kelvin-Helmholtz type and the term 'gap instability' is adopted. A vortex street arises and structural vibration of the cylinders might develop due to the fluctuating pressure. Numerical simulations of this phenomenon were performed. The computational domain was constructed to match the most important geometrical features of an experimental setup. The bundle consists of 7 steel tubes in triangular array, placed in a hexagonal conduit. A flexible segment made of silicone is embedded in the central tube, with both extremes clamped to the steel parts of the cylinder. In the experiment, data of the fluctuating velocity was gathered using laser Doppler anemometry measurements. As first step, a completely rigid structure was considered. Unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (URANS) simulations were used to test if this particular geometry also triggers the gap vortex street, which was the case. The phenomenon clearly appears as oscillations of the velocity components. Subsequently, fluid-structure interaction (FSI) simulations, taking into account the flexible part, allowed to assess the effect of the fluctuating flow field on the structure.
