The thesis deals comprehensively with the film work of the Slovak director Miro Remo. The research is based on the central reflection of Remo as a film author who possesses distinctive handwriting. On one level, it focuses on the themes and characters that Remo deals with. The theses also reflects on the directorial methods, stylistic and narrative approaches or elements of film language through which the director communicates them to the film audience (including the extent to which they are repeated or varied). In addition to such focused analyses of individual works, attention is also given to the circumstances of of their creation as well as the sub-phases of their production, i.e. their development, preproduction, shooting, post-production and distribution. A great deal of the work is also dedicated to critical discourse and ? based on extensive research ? it is mapped how Remo's projects were discussed in the media, what kind of controversies they provoked or how they resonated with film critics or within the festival scene. The research includes a series of semi-structured interviews: with Miro Remo himself, as well as with his close collaborators from several professions ? screenwriter and script consultant Juro Šlauka, creative producer Marek Kučera, DOP Jaro Vaľko, editor Marek Kráľovský and sound designer Lukáš Kasprzyk.Ateliér Audioviz

This book addresses the topic of urban models with reference to large western cities and particularly to global cities. In the current transitional phase, the use of language and the systematization of phenomena has become important. The book’s matrix examines two important and strongly connected themes: urban models and public-private partnerships (PPP) determined by urban functions which are transformed in an increasingly rapid and complex manner as a result of globalization. PPPs represent the new border of the modern global state. The book focuses on two principal urban models (renewal and restructuring) through PPPs and subsequently the relationship between state and market in fourteen Italian cities (renewal) and two central European cities, Leipzig and Budapest (restructuring). CoUrbIT (Complex Urban Investment Tools) and the book 'Globalization and Urban Implosion: Creating New Competitive Advantage' by the same author serve as points of referenc

Scepsi e mito in Remo Cantoni

Skepticism and Myth in Remo Cantoni. The author examines three essays by Remo Cantoni (1914-1978), written in the 1940s, which focus on the relationship between skepticism and myth. The author argues that, for Cantoni, skepticism and myth represent two fundamental polarities of thought. The hypothesis that reason might ultimately overcome myth is, according to Cantoni, erroneous. Instead, the author emphasizes that Cantoni considers a phenomenology of myth essential for understanding it as a necessary dimension in the life of the spirit. According to the author, Cantoni is a philosopher who seeks to interpret the crisis of values and science, striving to remain within a rationalistic framework

Fostering entrepreneurship in an international university collaboration

[EN] The European Union is taking action on enhancing entrepreneurship in Europe and recommends appropriate entrepreneurship training in schools and higher education institutions. Due to the globalization of businesses it seems to be appropriate to realize an international perspective on entrepreneurial issues and to develop international programmes for young entrepreneurs. In this case study, we examined an international university collaboration between two universities, one in Austria and one in the United States. The programme’s goals include the establishment of an international network for students and an awareness of the students of different cultural dimensions and entrepreneurial mindsets. Our findings show how this programme enables the students to work on their professional and behavioural skills, how these students work practice-oriented under the guidelines of experts from different entrepreneurial mindsets and how they become aware of cultural differences. Besides other aspects, it seems to be advantageous for international entrepreneurship programmes to remain open and flexible during the whole process and to offer a programme that allows students to integrate participation into their regular studies. Furthermore, it seems beneficial that students can tailor the programme to meet their specific needs.Rybnicek, R.; Gutschelhofer, A.; Bergner, S.; Seidenberger, A.; Taferner, R. (2017). Pemanfaatan Mediapipe Body Pose Estimation dan Dynamic Time Warping untuk Pembelajaran Tari Remo

Video can be used as a learning medium for various purposes. In this research, the object of study is the movements of the traditional dance "remo." Thus, as a substitute for an absent coach or instructor, videos can take on the role of a dance instructor. However, video communication is one-way between the coach and the learners. Without movement correction, individuals trying to learn remo dance may find it challenging to determine if they are performing the movements correctly. Therefore, the author aims to create a system to assist coaches in correcting the dance movements of their learners. Using the MediaPipe module and the Dynamic Time Warping algorithm, the author developed a system to correct the learners' dance movements. This system can detect deviations from the coach's instructional video and provide notifications about which body angles do not match the coach's video instructions. The system operates by having users upload a video of their dance movements, and then it identifies which movements deviate from the correct remo dance. The accuracy is measured by comparing the angle distances between the master's movements and the test data. If the angle exceeds a predetermined threshold, the movement is considered incorrect. The system's output is validated by the coach, and it achieves 90% accuracy in identifying movement errors in videos. With this accuracy, the system can assist coaches in evaluating their learners' remo dance movements
