Chronic management of arthrosis with Arumalon [TRATTAMENTO A LUNGO TERMINE DELL'ARTROSI CON 'ARUMALON']
Cartilage and bone marrow extract have been used to enhance cartilage mucopolysaccharide levels. The value of this form of treatment was appraised in 250 patients with well established arthrosis. Comparison was made between standard management with anti-inflammatory drugs, analgesics, anti-rheumatic compounds, physiotherapy and heat treatment, and management with the addition of cartilage and bone marrow extract (Arumalon) over a period of 5 yr. Patients who received Arumalon had a lower frequency of painful exacerbations, a lower and more delayed frequency of functional incapacity, and a slower and less striking radiological progression. These results corroborate experimental and clinical data in the literature. They were particularly marked in 50 cases of gonarthrosis

Novel solid-state emissive polymers and polymeric blends from a T-Shaped benzodifuran scaffold: A comparative study
Two novel polyimines were synthesized from a benzodifuran based diamino monomer and two dialdehydes bearing bulky groups and a flexible spacer. The polymers display tuned luminescence performance according to the presence of half-salen groups. The effect of the intramolecular bond on the emission properties were examined. Two model compounds, replicating the same emissive Schiff base cores, were synthetized. From the models, dye-doped blends in the fluorophore/matrix ratio, resembling the polymers, were produced. Amorphous thin films of the covalent polymers and the polymeric blends were obtained by spin-coating technique.
