""This essay of Sara Cabibbo (pp. 65-71; 84-94) and Maria Lupi (pp. 72-84; 94-100) introduces and explains the most significant themes of the treatise Espejo católico, published in Pamplona in 1658 and written by Ignacio Vidondo, a Mercedarian born in Navarre. This volume is directed to defend and exalt the ransoming activity of Christian "captivi" in Muslim land, which was the main aim of the Order of Mercy. In his work, the author gives his own account of his activity as redeemer of slaves, describing the expedition he leaded up to Algeri in 1654 and analyzing practical difficulties coming from the contact with a society so different from the european one. .
Pascal e la ritrattazione dell'amore: questioni aperte. Repliche ai miei critici
The author elaborates many of the issues dealt with in her book "La filosofia in fiamme. Saggio su Pascal" in the light of the questions and objections of her readers, focusing in particular on the concepts of "Repetition of Metaphysics", "Hidden God", of "Third Order", of "Relationship between Heart and Reason"
The polymeric coating on biodegradable magnesium alloy stent seems to be a promising solution to reduce the rate of degradation and, thus, to ensure the mechanical support to the wall vessel first months after implantation. To quantify the adhesion between polymer and metal substrate, is essential to ensure the device safety and effectiveness in the long term. The first part of the work was based on the optimization of the dip coating process, which made possible to achieve PCL homogeneous coatings with controlled thickness (5-10 μm) on magnesium alloy AZ31 (3% aluminum, 1% zinc and 0.2% manganese) plates, with different surface morphology. To measure the adhesion strength between coating and substrate, peeling tests at 90° were carried out. Such tests showed that the adhesion of the polymeric film is influenced by roughness and wettability of the substrate.
Subsequently, the dip coating technique was adapted to coat samples characterized by the geometry of the stent. By including the rotation of the sample during the withdrawal phase from the solution, it was possible to achieve coatings uniform and adherent to the mesh. Once coated, the meshes were subjected to tensile tests to verify the occurrence of coating delamination. Results showed a coating continuous and adherent to the substrate, both in the flat part and in the areas of curvature. Weak zones of coating detachment were found in the outer areas of curvature, characterized by an accumulation of polymeric material, caused by the action of the centrifugal force during the rotation and a higher stress concentration
In her essay, the author argues that gender conflict cannot be eliminated by eliminating the question of identity, as the American philosopher J. Butler seems to do, but through a strengthening of the idea of relationship. To this end, the author proposes the "exchange" of figures in Plato's Alcibiades I as a strong model of relationship
Questione di genere e differenza erotica
In her essay, the author argues that gender conflict cannot be eliminated through the
eradication of identity, as the American philosopher J. Butler seems to do, but through a
strengthening of the idea of relationship. To this end, the author re-proposes the “exchange
of figure” of Plato’s Alcibiades I as a strong model of relationship
Là fuori
The author summarizes Daniela Angelucci's essay, focusing on the title of the volume
La Lingua promessa
The author reflects on the theme of the announcement trough the paintings the Annunciata by Antonello da Messina and Annunciazione by Alberto Savinio, which are revisited from a key provided bythe phenomenology of donation of Jean-Luc Marion
Le présent de la philosophie. Pour Jean-Luc Nancy
The author tries to sketch the scientific and human profile of Jean-Luc Nancy using the text "The sense of the world" as a theoretical guide in which the inclusive vocation of his thought is expressed
Nichilismo e amore in attesa del Regno
The author uses the link between nihilism and love as a key to understanding Giancarlo Gaeta's book "Waiting for the Kingdom" and exposes, with the help of the reflections of J.-L Marion and P. Celan, the meaning of the aforementioned link
This paper intends to delve into Roscoe Pound’s thought, enhancing his teleological conception of law as a key to understanding Pound’s historicism, pragmatism and functionalism. The Author will also deal with the Poundian contribution within a ‘situated’ perspective aimed at stressing some ‘genetic’ traits of American legal realism in relation to the specific history of the evolution of the common law in the US context. The text has the objective to discuss the theoretical-legal matrix of Pound’s theoretical reflection and its afference to legal science, highlighting his attitude to address the macro-theme of the constitutive principles of the law itself
