No full textTrata-se da resenha do livro “A Cruel Pedagogia do Vírus”, de Boaventura Sousa Santos publicado em abril de 2020, em que o autor, na tentativa de romper com abissalidades, dispõe-se a refletir pedagogicamente sobre a realidade a que está submetida a humanidade no contexto da pandemia, a partir de proposições sobre os potenciais conhecimentos que podem se tornar aprendizados no período pós-pandemia.Palavras chave: Pedagogia do vírus. Santos as part of the waterfront landscape
No full textWith the relocation of the industry in Rotterdam from the city centre to the sea, the old harbour area became empty. One of the buildings in this area is Santos, an old coffee warehouse that is located in Katendrecht. Due to the developments in this area, there is a need for a redevelopment for Santos as well. The shape of the waterfront is inspired by my research of different reference projects with old harbour waterfronts. One of the outcomes is the layering in heights and the routing along the water. In this way, Santos becomes part of the waterfront landscape. Another important aspect that enlarges this connection is the public stair to the rooftop, which makes that the roof becomes part of the public landscape. These main interventions will give Santos more attention then it will get in the existing future plan. The attention that it deserves, because it shows the history of the neighbourhood, while most of these references are destroyed already.Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences | Heritage & Architectur

No full textO Estado, pelos recursos materiais e humanos que dispõe é, sem dúvida, o maior responsável (por meio das suas ações ou omissões) pela ocorrência de mudanças no espaço geográfico, as quais interessam não somente aos geógrafos (os naturais curiosos quando o assunto é espaço), mas a todos aqueles que, de alguma forma, são afetados por elas.
O tema desta pesquisa é a relação entre Estado & Espaço e como isso se transformou em discurso geográfico. Para tornar viável tal pretensão, optou-se somente pela análise da obra do geógrafo Milton Santos para demonstrar como esse importante autor da Geografia brasileira percebeu essa relação, tornando o Estado uma das mais importantes categorias dos seus estudosThe State, through / by material and human resources that make use of, is undoubtedly the most responsible (through action or omission) for changes in geographic space, which concern not only to geographers (a nature curious when the subject is space), but also all that are anyway affected by the changes.
The topic of this research is the connecting / linking between State & Area and how it became a geographic speech. To make it possible, only the geographer Milton Santos was chosen to be analysed, in order to demonstrate how this major author of brazilian Geography realized this dependence becoming the State one of the most important categories of their studie
