Evaluating Manufacturers’ Smart Readiness and Maturity Exploiting Lean Product Development Approach
No full textManufacturers need to address Industry 4.0 to enhance their competitiveness on the market supported by the gradual adoption of digital technologies. However, devoting investments to these technologies should first be coupled by the need to gauge both their own digital status quo and the mechanisms grounding their support to perform product development process. In this context, the importance of lean approach, leading under a continuous improvement and value focused perspective how the process of product development is organized and managed throughout the functions involved, is paramount and strategic. Methods and maturity models have been introduced in the extant literature to evaluate the readiness and maturity of either their digital level or their design and engineering process. A coalescence of these tools still needs to be employed to evaluate a company under the twofold level of lean and digital: to do this, a case study has been implemented

No full textL’elettrocardiografia rappresenta ancora oggi un presidio fondamentale ed insostituibile del processo diagnostico di tutte le malattie cardiache. Ormai da circa 100 anni i benefici clinici legati all’introduzione ed allo sviluppo conoscitivo dell’elettrocardiogramma hanno rappresentato una pietra miliare della Medicina contemporanea.
In tutte le età della vita, in numerose condizioni cliniche di carattere internistico, ma soprattutto nelle cardiopatie acute e croniche, l’elettrocardiogramma costituisce uno “step” diagnostico ed una fonte di informazioni costantemente presente ed irrinunciabile.
È proprio per questi motivi che i principi dell’elettrocardiogramma e la sua corretta interpretazione devono far parte del bagaglio culturale e della formazione di ogni medico, ma anche degli operatori sanitari, soprattutto il personale infermieristico, che viene chiamato in causa in tante circostanze cliniche, in primis nelle condizioni di urgenza ed emergenza.
In questa chiave di lettura sono sempre di grande utilità strumenti di formazione semplici ma esaurienti che siano in grado di allo studente, al medico in formazione e soprattutto al personale infermieristico quegli irrinunciabili elementi di apprendimento che possono consolidare una buona conoscenza ed un approccio sufficiente all’interpretazione dell’elettrocardiogramma.
Sono quindi molto lieto di introdurre questo “Manuale ECG per un approccio semplice” realizzato da A. Terzi, A. Mercieri e M. Mercieri che incontra quelle connotazioni che ho sopra sintetizzato e che riflettono le esigenze della pratica clinica.
Il manuale è articolato in forma molto diretta di domanda-risposta ed è dotato di una iconografia rappresentativa con illustrazioni semplici ma esaustive e con numerosi esempi clinici.
Sono sicuro che questo Manuale ECG verrà accolto con favore ed interesse dalla sempre più ampia comunità di discenti che hanno caratteristiche ed esigenze diverse dallo specialista cardiologo, ma che svolgono oggi un ruolo chiave nel processo clinico di tanti pazienti

activities, coupled with consumer demands for environmentally sound products, have forced manufacturers to scrutinize carefully the environmental friendliness and economical prosperity of their products during the design process; a domain called
eco-efficient product design. To design an eco-efficient product, related requirements must be considered during the conceptual design phase, where the cost of incorporating changes is relatively low, and different feasible concepts of the product should be evaluated as such. However, at this early design stage, life cycle data and information are subject to severe uncertainties that make the selection of the most favourable eco-efficient product concept arbitrary based on incomplete information and knowledge. In this paper it is rationalised Set Based Engineering (SBE), Toyota way of conceptual product design, to be used early in a design process, premising elimination of inferior designs and subsequently delaying the selection of the best eco-efficient design till sufficient information and knowledge being acquired to do so
